I can write a long review later, but for now let me say that the initial case worker was caring and seriously interested. she was young and I did not get to see her qualifications. By the third visit, I was introduced to a more senior case worker with good qualifications on her card, but right from the beginning she was looking whom to blame for the different situations on the family. By the fourth visit (so far), she just treated me like the worst parent with no consideration for the truth and less for the wellbeing of the children. All this initiated by the actions of my ex-partner. ADDENDUM 2018 JUN 12: The last meeting had an improvement ( is the case workef reading this reviews?). She had interviewed my children and was interested on findind the root of the problems. She insisted on counseling specially for me. I have to look into this in order to show that I want to improve. In the other hand she dismised counseling from religious leaders in spite that they have counseling credentials. The counseling has to be with aproved" institutions. To be cont'd."

I called to get information about what to do when unsure about the welfare of a child which lead to an aggressive line of questioning by intake. Even though I was compliant they had the nerve to hang up on me. I'm not sure why these women work here or if they even actually value the welfare of children the way you'd expect people in this line of work to. I'll looking into this further. Severely disappointed.

These people are so careless! Just garabage!! They were no help!Everytime I have called these people to discuss the safety of my child. It's been dismissed as if what I was stating were lie's!I am going to report this agency to the MVP and also the city of Toronto!I know my humans rights.Please save yourself the trouble and stress!

Everyone working for this organization should be fired on a spot. Absolutely useless, rude and unable to do anything for a family or a child.

Kim is a disrespectful and unprofessional woman. We were given the right to stay anonymous but an “error” was made and our names have been exposed to our family members. She has single handedly and permanently ruined our relationship with family. Hailey, the case worker has told us that she had been told by Kim’s report that we did not want to be anonymous. Hailey is trying to mend things but I don’t trust York Regions CAS. They ruined our report of abuse and neglect and caused more harm than good.

Worst place to ask for help they rip families and marriages apart thanks to them my children won't grow up with a dad! so much for their motto of keeping families together!! Called for help and they took my husband out of our family home and now we have to start our lives over if I could give them a zero I would!! I will never support them ever again they did more harm than good

Horrible experience for the last 2 years. Basically my son missed 52 days of school and other concerns like psychological problems with the mom. The worker I had was a kid and was more concerned about me not giving my son dessert because he didn't eat his dinner then my son missing so much school. This is not a joke, but York region is and so happy they moved to peel region so hopefully I can deal with professional. Sooo happy I don't have to deal with incompetent society anymore, and felt great to tell my so call worker where to go.

I write a true report about the bad conduct of a CAS worker, re ignoring physical harm done to my son

My son was scratched by a teacher at daycare and CAS told me that they won't do anything because it doesn't reach their level/standard of abuse". So what's your standard or level
