Covid Protol review - from a parent of a student but also a student myself.Champions have been a big part of our family for past 5 years. I would like to really give them a shout out for their diligent Covid Protocols.Before they opened their doors to us on June 15th, they kept us all informed about new upcoming protocols via social media and emails so there weren't any surprises upon return. This was very helpful especially for parents of younger students as we were able to explain the kids how things will operate at Champions from now on.Champions created an online booking system - very user friendly, we can pre-book classes knowing there is only limited number of spots available for each class.Students wait outside and enter the building one by one just 5 mins before their class, they sanitize their hands, scan their members card and go to their designated spot on the floor - super organized, easy to navigate and there is always a staff member to remind the kids to keep a physical distance. All staff members are always wearing masks except the instructors on the floor.During classes students don't come into contact with each other (no sparring at this moment) and they remain physically distanced. Senseis and instructors came up with different routines (even fun games at the end of the class) for activities that would require some contact (no targets). If they do use punching bags, each student is required to clean and sanitize the bag (I love seeing this, hey it teaches them about equipment cleaning). There is plenty of sanitizing stations everywhere.At the end of the class if any student is getting a stripe then Sensei will put a mask on and reward a student with a stripe, no handshakes, only distanced high - fives.After each class floor is being sanitized and cleaned for the next class.Also, worth noting is that beginning times of classes have been staggered (15 mins between classes) so there is no overload of students walking in and out.Absolutely amazing, well organized Covid Protocols - very well-done Champions team!

Great place for children 3+ to start learning martial arts.All the Instructors are professional with great knowledge in martial arts.You will notice right away, that all students listen and follow instructions and show improvement after every class.The place have martial arts lesson for all ages.Flexible hours for younger to older students.They also promote variety of outdoor activities for all students.

I have had my oldest son attending Champions for 7 years and my youngest for 1 year. The oldest is a low black belt and the youngest is an orange. They are so committed and take pride in what they have learned. It has been great for their self-esteem and they not only teach them about defence but also confidence and respect to name a few.We feel like family at champions.

Best decision we ever made!My son and daughter have been students at Champions for 8 and 9 years and love the program. I initially put them in kickboxing to help improve their strength and coordination for soccer, which did happen. What I didn’t realize was the impact Champions would have on their mental development: perseverance, confidence, discipline, respect, and a strong sense of community and belonging. These tools are invaluable when dealing with day-to-day social challenges and pressures that youth face (and adults too) and certainly helped my kids navigate the vulnerable and impressionable teen years.When you watch the youth and adults train, it is obvious that the program provides engaging and high-quality instruction in a supportive and encouraging environment. The flexible schedule and the large, clean and bright space is an added bonus.I am also thankful to Champions for their empathy and understanding when it came to my son’s soccer injuries that sometimes took him out of kickboxing training for weeks at a time. Without even asking, Champions always extended his contract for missed time and never made me feel guilty about extended absences. They were truly amazing and flexible in this regard.Thank you for always making us feel apart of the Champions family. Best decision we ever made!

Wow. I booked my daughter’s fifth birthday party at Champions Martial Arts. The staff were all incredible! They really cared about making her day truly special and memorable. There were 15 kids and 3 wonderful staff members to make sure everyone had the best day ever. Afterwards, the feedback from parents was incredibly positive too (parents can stay/go as they wish for b-day parties). I would HIGHLY recommend Champions.

Several years ago I searched for a school that would fit for me and our daughter. I took part in many free trials and without question Champions was for us. The instructors here are top notch, the facilities are amazing and the classes are frequent. The community here is what makes it a special place for us. It's a family environment with staff and members. Our goal is to become Black Belts one day and to enjoy the journey with Champions. Our fitness has improved but more importantly for us we have seen the values our daughter has adopted in being a martial artist. This past year has obviously been the most challenging with Covid. I cannot stress how great Champions has been to ensure the safety of its students. While other gyms opened, Champions waited until they felt the utmost safety for the students. They have adopted strict but workable protocols to make sure we can train in a safe environment.

Our 5 years old daughter had her birthday Party at Champions. They chose the right instructions to entertain a large group of 4-5 years old kids and they enjoyed every minute. Thanks champion’s team for a wonderful birthday party. I totally recommend this place.

My son recently joined Champions in September after the summer reopening from Covid-19 rules. Champions was amazing in every aspect from setting up the introductory appointment and tour of space to organizing the classes and educating both my son and myself of the protocols and measures being taken to keep safe and open. It has been nothing but a hugely positive and fun experience for my son and family.My son attends two days a week and since that time there have been a few different changes relating to closures due to new provincial and Canada wide rules. Any changes to rules or protocols affecting his classes were communicated very quickly, and while there were periods where the gym had to close, there was an immediate and available option to maintain training via zoom which kept him motivated and involved.They are once again reopened under the new protocols and were very efficient in making that happen and my son is excited to be back training in the gym.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Champions to anyone looking for great instruction in kickboxing and a friendly, safe and positive environment to train in safely during these times, kids or adults - they do it right.James

My child has been training at Champions for the past 5 years and loves everything about it. The space is fantastic and instructors are absolutely wonderful. Professional, caring, disciplined and they work hard to see every student succeed and be the best they can be. Champions is a place where my child feels safe and connected. An academy that not only imparts martial arts knowledge and training but inculcates in children and adults, confidence, strength, courage and values to be good to themselves and others around them.
