Laughing Oyster Restaurant
My wife and I along with my daughter and fiancé had an absolutely fabulous time. We sat on the patio overlooking the water and mountains scenery. My daughter now lives in Powell River and suggested that we come here. Along with the scenery, atmosphere. and company, we now have memories that will last forever. Our meals were absolutely fantastic. The staff are gracious and accommodating. I even noticed that they had a basket of small blankets. To use on your legs on those chillier nights. We are so happy to have visited this restaurant.

Laughing Oyster Restaurant
We'll be talking about the meal we had at Laughing Oyster for years to come. We've dined all over the world and this was one of the best. The food and service were excellent and the view competes with any out there. You just don't get a dining experience like this very often, especially when you factor in the price. As if there weren't already enough reasons for sailing up to Desolation Sound, this is another one.

What an amazing, delicious and totally unexpected restaurant. One if the starting points to the wilderness that is Desolation sound. If I was to have a meal at this restaurant before a trek to the wild I probably wouldn't leave civilization behind. Scott and Shannagh the new owners are delightful, accommodating and gracious. The menu is a perfect size and covers all tastes. Now the meals they are absolutely delicious well presented, hot and did I mention delicious . You deserve to treat yourself with a visit to this hidden gem.

The 7 wild mushroom soup alone is worth the drive; sadly, it's not gluten free.Wasabi lime aioli salmon was soft, moist, and decadent.Apple glazed pork was melt-in-your-mouth fabulous.Happy, friendly atmosphere, and service.

OMG - the reviews aren’t even enough! This is one of the very best dinners we’ve ever had. Location and sunset views are unbelievable. Food is creative and delicious. Service is attentive and professional. And value for $$. Ticked all the boxes - Thank you so much!

Went to the all you can eat buffet on a Wednesday. The service and atmosphere was truly fantastic. The budge was a small one but it was alright. Wasn't a big fan of baked oysters so unfortunately their star dish wasn't all that impressive but their pulled pork and creamy seafood potato mix was quite nice! Their battered seafood though left a lot to be desired... It was all in all okay for the hefty price.

This is a must do experience if you are in the Powell River/Lund area. The views from the restaurant and patio are to die for. Boats & Seaplanes can access via Okeover govt dock. Something for everyone, seafood is fresh and delicious. Service is first class. They do host weddings as well. Never disappoints.

Laughing Oyster Restaurant
We had dinner there twice in a span of 3 days we stayed in Lund. Loved everything about this restaurant. The food is excellent. You must try the halibut and chips but confident that everything you pick is awesome. Great deserts and wine selection. Fantastic service and the view is spectacular. Hands down the best in Lund!
