One of the best dog parks around. Advise to people coming to picnic in park....it's a dog park so if you're scared of dogs....either stay away from off leash areas or don't come. Have come across lot of idiots who picnic right in the middle of the off leash area and then shout at the owners.

THIS IS NOT THE OFF-LEASH DOG AREA IN KINGS PARK!!!! There is a completely different area that is further into the park. There are few signs and little information, so I went to this area and we did an off leash walk. I was like wow this is great it’s just like another trail… wrong. There is only a small area for off leash and apparently if you go to the wrong place or past the invisible boundaries, you may get ticketed or fined. The area labeled “kings park” is actually closer to the Off-leash area.

It is beautiful here. Plenty of open area for the dogs to run and play. Well kept and very clean. There is no fencing so you must be able to control your dog. But wonderful space to throw a ball or toy for them. Plenty of dogs visit the park so great place for them to be social.

This is my favorite off-leash park in the city. None of the area is fenced, so only dogs with good recall visit. The walking paths nearby are also nice to use.Bring bug spray in the summer, the close proximity to the river means the mosquito population is very healthy.

It is a peaceful place to have some me- time. Also, a lovely way to spend some time with the family is to have a picnic here. Anybody interested in taking pictures..? There you go..!! They have washrooms though, if anybody's wondering. But I 'm not sure about drinking water. Make sure to go prepare. Have an awesome time..!!

We found this dog park today. It was a beautifully landscaped park with a lot of room for the dogs to run and many walk paths for all to enjoy.

Kings Park Off-leash dog park
Cute off leash dog park in Kings Park. A little bit unknown, as I had gone to university at UofM for years without knowing about it.A bit of a walk to it from the parking lot, but a good place to walk your dog, off leash. There are some hills so you can tire your dog faster with a ball.Doesn't seem to be overly packed as there was fresh snow everywhere! Plus side of being less busy is that it is very well kept!

In the running for favourite Winnipeg dog spot. Great open field for pups to run about and far enough away from any traffic it's ok that it is not fenced in. Dogs and their owners all seem very friendly and well behaved. A nice little path around the back along the river so the humans can get some steps in too!
