We ventured onto the Upper side of Cowichan Lake and headed for Youbu on Youbou Road. We found this little gem of a beach and park, Mile 77 Park. it was pouring rain that day so we only went down to the water with our umbrellas and then back up to the picnic area which is sheltered. Did some yoga poses and stretches. The lake is very quiet and ethereal when it rains and is misty.

Nice spot to go swimming or play on the grass. Also has washrooms which is a plus!

Nice little park, with easy access to the lake . There is a covered picnic area which is great if you want to get out of the sun. Would be an ideal place for a family picnic. Didn't go swimming, it was very busy when I was there and was hard to find space at the beach area. Managed to find some shade for our lawn chairs, and just enjoyed watching everyone else having a great time.
