Land Warfare Hall
Brilliant place, part of the Imperial War Museum Duxford.I cant say how much I love this place. If you're into aviation, military or history then this is one of the best places in the UK. Then there is the thrill of air shows at least three times a year and not forgetting flying days. For current admission prices, check their website. The site is wheelchair and pushchair friendly (although I can't remember about the Land warfare part). There are a few different cafes and prices are a little bit above average. We had a latte in the cafe next to the main entrance and was very disappointed. The latte was served in a mug, but at least half of it was froth. We had another in the American hanger, which was served in a takeaway cup and was full and really nice. There are plenty of toilets dotted about, so you are never far away from one.The museum is brilliant with plenty of aircraft in five different hangers, at least two of the hangers house air worthy aircraft and are often seen taking to the skies.Just to name a few:LancasterMosquitoSpitfiresHurricanesB-17B-25B-52B-29SR71ConcordeME109A-10F-15F-111Really is worth a day out, but don't take my word for it, go visit yourself ✈

Land Warfare Hall
Great example of how a museum should be, the vehicles are all displayed in a meaningful manner and brought to life, not just as if in a car park like a number of museums. Added to this all the informative displays. A gem at RAF Duxford and not to be missed on any visit

When the cannon and the vehicle come into my sight at the entrance, I did not expect a different demonstrated form from the hangars. But after I walked through those delicately arranged battlefield scenes, it feels just like I have walked in a well-made war movie. From heavy tank to small spy tool, the number and type of the exhibits are both large. Very worth a visit, recommended.

The Land Warfare Hall was a very interesting day, with 7 hangers to have a look around from World War One Military vehicles to lots and lots of RAF, America Air Force AND the Airborne Museum was very interesting.I think it is not just one visit , there is just so much to see and read about on display, you can see the volunteers preserving and restoring the aircraft.Definitely go and take the kids they will enjoy and learn things about aircraft and World War One.

This hall is set up really well organised, starting off in 1st ww and taking you through to modern times. The exhibits are very well presented with some quirky parts like the hanging uniform. Really enjoyable..

This was my first time viewing this exhibit, wonderful! Tank rides offered at a slight fee, £8 the day we were there. There is a height restriction.

We did not expect to find a land based exhibit at Duxford, but the hall is an excellent interpretation featuring tableaus from WW1 to more recent conflicts. An electric shuttlebus caries visitors to this and other halls on the site.
