Kitoki Inn
We just returned from our stay and we totally felt as if we were swept to another place. The cabins are well equipped , peaceful and waking up to the beautiful scenery is like you are living in a dream. The breakfast of homemade matcha granola , scones and compote with freshly ground coffee was a treat every morning. The bathhouse was serene and being able to relax with the fireplace among the trees marvel at the beauty that surrounds you. We hiked a nearby trail and had dinner at snug cove and walked back to enjoy another soak in the bathhouse on our last day. The owners have shown great love and care in welcoming guests and giving them privacy to their property. I was able to purchase some of the granola to take home and it will be a lovely reminder of the special place we were. Contactless checkin and owners responsive to email , instructions clearly stated throughout -if I could give 10 stars I would. Someone asked me during our stay whether the hype and press Kitoki Inn has received is true - it definitely is .

This very unique Japanese-style wooden house hotel, because of its high evaluation and small number of rooms, so my daughter made an appointment a year ago, and finally stayed in March this year to explore its charm and enjoy its quietness and comfort 、Relaxed three-day outer island vacation, the house is all made of logs, it feels very natural, the interior and exterior design is very novel, it is very comfortable to live in, the breakfast has a lot of food made by the owner himself, the portion is large and rich, and the hot spring equipment is also carefully designed , There are dressing rooms, shower rooms, toilets, and there is a stove outside the house, which provides wood burning for heating. It is very warm and I like it very much. I am very satisfied with the owner's careful management and quality maintenance

We had the pleasure to stay at some wonderful places over the years, but I think it's safe to say that this is the most beautiful place we've ever been. The care and thoughtfulness that was put into Kitoki is unlike anywhere else we've ever been. From the beautiful shortbread cookies that are paired with the guest guide, to the wide variety of teas available in the kitchen, you truly want for nothing.Checking in is contactless, and for people who prefer to have their solitude in the woods have some actual solitude, this was a great start. On the first day we thought that 90 minutes for one bath house session might feel too long and couldn't imagine doing that twice a day, but between the rain shower, the hot bath, and the warm wood stove outside, we melted into puddles by the end of the first session. The cabins themselves are works of art. It's obvious that everything from the ceramics to the bath robes were lovingly selected, and even the way the lighting was set up was beautiful at night, casting a warm glow while you curled up with your tenth mug of tea and read your book. Something about the fresh cedar walls and sprawling window overlooking the forest demands a quiet stillness. The 'shop' meant that many of the thoughtful pieces in the cabins we had come to love could be brought home with us, and any need or want for a snack, a cheese board, a book, a yoga mat, or even a hot cup of tea were either available to borrow or to purchase. What Kitoki has managed to do here is truly special - they have created a place that is simultaneously simple and luxurious.

Had the most relaxing few days a Kitoki Inn. Loved the little shop where we were able to purchase Japanese snacks. The exclusive use of the bath is really lovely too and there is something so relaxing about building your own fire.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. After a short boat ride from West Van, you will be completely surrounded by nature, and each of the three units is minimalist yet has every facility and more than you would need. From check-in to the supply store on an honour system to the fully supplied cabin of breakfast and pastries to signing up for the onsen hottub, everything is self-service. Make your reservations early (June 2024 is already booked). Thank you to the wonderful proprietors for providing such a unique and pleasant experience.

Great place for a quiet and relaxing couple of days. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabins are so nice and clean. There’s some games that u can borrow. The scones and apple jam were amazing! And the best part is the bathhouse. Highly recommend!

Kitoki Inn is one of the best retreats you can book on the west coast. No kids and maximum of 2 people per cabin makes this the best place to unwind. It requires to be booked a year in advance, but it will be worth the wait. The cabins are extraordinarily clean. It is outfitted with luxurious kitchenware made in Japan, as well as premium towels from Itsumo. The bathrobes are from Pokoloko. It is minimalist, but luxurious. The bedding and pillow is super comfortable. Complimentary yogurt, artisanal granola, premium tea leaves, and scones are prepared for the stay. The private bathhouse is the highlight of this boutique hotel. It is also very clean. The bath overlooks a zen garden lined with tall trees. Each cabin gets a limited time to enjoy the bathhouse, two times a day, on a first come first serve basis. There is also a wood burning fireplace in the garden where you can warm up while enjoying the outdoor scenery. Full nude is allowed in the bathhouse. It is a humbling experience to be naked outdoors. Not to worry it is fully a private area. What's unique about Kitoki Inn is that their gift shop is by the honor system where you write down what you take from the shop, and you will be charged later. Only in Japan & Korea will you find this sort of practice commonly, but to see it here in Vancouver proves that we should still have faith in each other.Bear in mind there are few more rules guests have to follow compared to a typical hotel. However it makes the stay as private and high quality as it can be. Highly recommended.

A few mins away from the Bowen Island ferry terminal /Snug Cove area, kitoki inn is a great escape to unplug and relax. The atmosphere is very quiet and private. The cabins provide sufficient amenities to stay in and cozy up.

I can't say enough about our stay at Kitoki! While we only stayed the minimum 2 nights, it was enough to know that we will come back for a longer stay! The onsen-inspired bath house was the initial attraction, but the details of the cabins and amenities really made our little getaway special. The cabin space was small, but well-appointed & the view from the little back deck was incredibly peaceful. Local treats were provided for breakfast. Everything was carefully thought out.We took advantage of the proximity to the Killarney Lake trail which led perfectly into a dinner at Barcelona Tapas & then a lovely soak. The bath was everything we hoped it would be (and especially needed after the 10-12km we wandered during the day). Steaming hot with a view of a Japanese garden & accompanied by seating by a woodstove.I also took advantage of the little lending library to read some old timey Japanese folk tales (various books and games available on loan).

Kitoki Inn is an amazing getaway from the city. Everything is so thoughtful in every way. It is carefully and meticulously set up and clean. The bath is so relaxing. I loved being in the minimalist cabin that is aesthetically pleasing. You really get to experience some of the Japanese way of being. The nature and beauty that surrounds you feeds your souls. I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back.
