Petro-Canada & Car Wash

I just want to talk about their car wash. Yesterday I went for a car wash, and it was pathetic. When I got out of the car wash, there was a lot of soap residue on the car, especially on the back side. Rims and tyres were never cleaned. The temperature was -16 (feels like) at the time, and I had to go to a coin car wash just to get the soap off my car. It was a really bad experience.

Good amount of stuff inside to purchase if you're in a hurry, plus an A&W's if you need a bite to eat. Car wash is pretty good, but left smudges on my trunk door so needs some maintenance probably.

My 3 starts rating is based solely on the gas service experience, cuz I ended buying coffee and sandwich at their A&W, and that part was, like always, excellent.So, going back to the gas service; the pump screen was partially broken/ cracked so I couldn't read clearly every detail. Like always, I requested a printed receipt, but it never came out (printed), most likely due to empty paper roll. I was waiving at the attendant for assistance, but I noticed he was reading something, and no other customer(s) present. I had no choice but moved my vehicle and walked over inside to request a copy of my receipt for my records. To my surprise, the attendant" was busy on his phone all this time. Quick refuel station. Has enough space to idle your car if you need a brief stop.

Plenty of available gas pumps and staff are friendly but the biggest issue is the Glide wash is almost always broken down. I've made 3 visits in a row and perhaps it was luck of the draw but each time the Glide system was down which kind of defeats the purpose of buying the $65 Wash & Go card. Looks like I'll have to make it a regular habit of calling ahead to make sure the Glide wash is working.

Wasted 10 mins only to find out they have no gas. Petro 1 block south closes gas station to focus on car wash. So you can get a wash but no gas. Smart

Nice gas station with car wash and restaurant.

The touchless carwash looks new but did a worse job than other touchless ones. My car still has lots of dirt that's easy to remove on it.

I write this review to describe the 25 minutes I spent patiently waiting for my order. I do not have an exact frame in regards to time, But I heard the radio switch songs six to seven times with some ads in between. that's a decent reference for time, in my opinion. lol.Management must have been rubbing their last two pennies together when they thought of a good idea to get some more pennies flowing.Let's have a A&W located inside the gas stations convenience store to bring in more pennies. Have ONE person take orders for an entire restaurant AND receive payment for anything Petro-Canada related.Orders are taken at the drive threw and in house orders at TWO separate tills, AND the convenience store till is located away from the A&W.Let us also have this same person deal with some take out orders. Unlike most places that use one courier system, we will use TWO! Skip the DISHES & Uber Eats! because they are the most popular! they will make our pennies MULTIPLY! We will have this SAME person pack orders for ALL of these takeout orders!Then,And this is the cherry on top, while all that stuff is going on. REPEAT ALL OF THAT GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME! Have that SAME person GO to a central till to receive payments for GAS.This is a gas station that is located a few kilometers away from several truck yards. It is a busy location. I do not blame this individual. Packing and taking orders is a job in itself. To have to switch locations and leave behind what you are doing to take gas payment is UNFAIR, UNHYGIENIC AND A UTTER disservice to everyone involved.I blame the system that management has created. Go Rub your pennies to dust.P. S.if you really want to use this location, i recommend you pay at the pump or use the drive threw.

I want to like this place, it's super convenient for my commute and the A&W here is great!Tap payment on the pumps never seems to work, I've told them on 3 separate occasions and I'm told that it does, not sure why I'd lie about it... It works fine at other Petro Canada locations.I heard good things about the car wash so I tried it, and the results were pretty poor since it didn't rinse the soap off (see pics). I talked to the attendant and was offered a free wash instead of a refund, clearly missing the point that it doesn't do a good job so I don't want to use it again.Frustrating place that I've come to dislike over the last 3 months.
