Summary: Really Helpful, Determined and Friendly Technicians!My two experiences:1. I came into the shop around fall of 2022, and I had a Presta Valve that was leaking air. The technician assessed the situation, and realized it was the presta valve pin that was bent. He quickly straightened it and fixed it free, as it was a quick fix! :)2. I came into the shop about a week ago asking to have my bike serviced before a race, however, they were booked until first week of May. I went on a recent ride on my bike, and my bike drive train started scraping" after the ride. I called Gears and asked whether they could do a quick assessment on the scraping

Gears is the best. Dropped in for advice on switching the free hub to match my cassette- Mike was able to switch it out, make adjustments, and did me the favour of changing the tires for me too in less than 30 mins. Top notch quality service.I bought my first ever road bike after riding my hybrid for a couple of years. Not knowing too much about road bikes and the difference between gravel/road bikes, Lisa at the Corktown location took the time to answer all of my noob questions and recommended different bikes based on my preference and price point. Lisa also explained and showed me a bunch of different things I could do to customize my bike based on my preference (such as different types of clip-less pedals) with no pressure to buy a specific product. I placed a deposit as the specific bike I wanted was at another Gears location. After a couple of days to move the bike over, it was available for a test ride.Martin helped me test ride the bike, adjusting my saddle height and also explained all the noob questions I had (like how to switch gears on a road bike). He also helped me pick out a whole bunch of accessories I needed, such as a helmet, bib, bottle cages, bell, pedals, spare tube and cleats. The bike was ready for pick up a couple of days later with all the accessories added on at no additional cost. Martin also threw in a free saddlebag (thanks!), which was a cannondale one to match my bike.The bike was fantastic but I heard some minor clicking noises when I pedalled. I brought it by the shop with no prior appointment (it’s available as part of their new bike purchase service adjustments) and one of the sales reps (also very helpful) said to just bring it to the service area. Mike and the crew were super helpful and immediately helped to troubleshoot the bike. After making some minor adjustments the the bike was good to go. All in all, it was a fantastic experience end to end and I wanted to share my experience here.The shop is quite busy and if you are like me and you need to ask a bunch of questions, be patient and wait until the service reps are available. They take their time with other customers so if they are all busy just wait your turn. I recommend going in on a weekday afternoon when it’s not as busy.

I always know I'm going to get prompt, thorough service at Gears. I'm sure nothing strikes greater concern into the heart of a bike mechanic than someone rolling in with just a small repair" that they'd like done right away - fortunately

I went in thinking I had a major headache on my ebike (commuter), and was in and out with a solid solution and great communication from the site's mechanic. I was impressed with the knowledge and seasoned person that helped me out. Thank you kindly.

Awesome first experience here. Martin got me in to see Mike D in service right away on a busy Saturday. He adjusted my gears on the spot and recommended some future fixes. Really pleased with how I was looked after. This will be my new go to place.

Gears is honestly the best customer service. They've helped me when I was in a super need a replacement part when I was in a rush, and got me in and out no time. Also all my road bikes are from here and the tune ups and warranty is amazing. I can't ask for better quality and service. If there was something there, I got them to order it and had no issues. Also they offer a great rental program and if you want to test out the bikes, it's a super safe area to do so. Highly recommend it!

Thursday May 11 I went for my warranty checkup for my GIANT road bike - service mechanic was amazing! Tuned up as needed and gave me a watch out to one of my shifters that was sticking (due to a fall I had). It’s that time of the year and bike techs are crazy busy! This shop is great - keep up the good work looking after your customers! It’s appreciated!
