Toronto Paramedic Services - Station 45

An excellent station to work at. Not as fully staffed as you'd think for a priority post, but the people are top notch and generally good to count on to take an early call. Though three flights of stairs seems daunting, the well stocked canteen makes having a snack or even a small meal a possibility for someone on the go. The diversity in the neighbourhood makes every day an adventure and provides some relief to being constantly in the core. Whether you're permanently stationed there, or just visiting for a brief posting, the wifi is free for all to enjoy as it is generously paid for by the profits from the canteen. There can be a lot of people there as it is a common rest stop for lunch, but the top floor has three separate rooms (including a full kitchen with an increasingly rare stove!) so one can shut a door, if seeking a bit of privacy. The VHS collection is unparalleled and something to behold and should be on your list of must-sees" when travelling about the city. My only concern is the plants on the upper landing that seem to be dying. This questions the staff's attention to detail and concern for preserving life. A historical building for Toronto. This building has a huge significance for paramedics in Toronto. It was the first station in Toronto to have advanced care paramedics.

The grandiose building gives way to a more contemporary interior; within, a beautifully maintained bistro and some of Toronto’s finest Paramedics ready to do just about anything but overtime. I will use their services again; would recommend.
