Today I had a sales rep come to give a quote through the Canadian Greener Home Grant. The first thing the sales rep said was that going through the grant isn’t worth it. After this, he failed to assess all windows and doors I showed him. We looked through his catalog etc and he began to ask personal information, my employer, income, and asked for proof of income, which i did not have on hand as I was expecting to just receive a quote. At this point he explained that he could reach out to a friend that is a bank manager and see if he could get me pre-approved that way. At this point I asked what he was applying to have me pre-approved for and asked if he was filling out loan applications, he said yes. This was never explained to me before providing him my personal information etc. As soon as I stated I was not interested in applying for a loan today and wanted to receive a quote and have time to think on it, the sales rep began to pack up his belongings to leave. When I asked about getting a quote, he gave me a piece of lined paper he had scribbled numbers on.At this point, I feel like I was being scammed following this interaction and do not trust this company.
