Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste
Great location in a super beautiful and unique location of Quebec but that's about it. Very rustic lodging which wouldn't be that bad if the service made up for it but alas not. Service and staff is about a 3/10. Traveling worldwide for business and pleasure I'd expect more for the prices but things like very basic breakfast and sad dinners along a $50 fee to even use a sauna is crazy!! As well the bar closing at 9pm didn't help to drown our disappointment. If there was other places to go for food and drink we would've been able to deal but driving for an hour to Chicoutimi wasn't that easy to make happen.Anyhow maybe they have better service in the summer but I doubt it OR they read this and change their ways as the location is stunning.

This establishment has a criminally abusive and neglectful sled dog operation on its property. The dogs are starving, in poor health, uncared for and lacking in basic shelter, food and water. Urging everyone to not support this business. Horrific images have surfaced of what is going on there. Hoping the authorities will please move quickly to remedy this situation. Do not give your hard earned money to these ppl.

Rude and a money trap. We would not recommend this place to anyone.Rude:Their rudeness was breathtaking. We stayed there for one night and in the morning wanted to eat our food in the common lounge area and the woman in a very impolite way told us we were not allowed to eat our own food there because we had just reserved a room!Money trap:They charge 50 dollars for using their pool or Jaccuzi even if you have reserved a room!?!? The room was very bare. The price was far too high! No fridge no place to eat!!A side but important note for the owners: you might wanna tone it down with the dried animals on the walls?Do not stay here. There are plenty other places where you are treated better for a more fair price.

The cabin and views were extraordinary! Unfortunately they closed the pool, sauna, and hot tub, but for a $50 fee we could use it privately for 3 hours???? Food and service was okay. The bar was to be open until 9pm and they closed it abruptly just after 8pm when we were still enjoying a game there. We were asked to leave, with others also. Found it very rude and disappointing, i must admit. We were refused dinner at the restaurant because we were not carrying our vaccine passports (from Ontario). I would recommend for the trails, view and accommodations but otherwise I would not.

They have a dog sledding company on their property that are accused of starving dogs and the dogs are also living in poor condition. They claim they weren't aware of the situation until lately. However, they advertise the company on their website. How could you not see the dogs being starved on your property? This hotel is as guilty as the owner of the sled company. Do not support this hotel please.

The view is awesome with a nice hike down to the lighthouse. The skidoo was also great (thanks Theo!). For the rest… restaurant was ok, the staff was incapable to advice for the wine, breakfast is basic (eggs are not even an option), lack of communication everywhere, rooms needs maintenance and care (lights & heating not working, missing items in the room…). It’s too expensive in the end.

Disappointing - Do not recommend.Despite an extraordinary view of the Saguenay Fjord from the main building (which includes the reception and the restaurant-bar), the price is far too high for the accommodation. The place is extremely remote and the grocery opportunities limited in the area. However the room does not have a fridge. You are forced to eat in the restaurant or in the surrounding area. The path leading to the Pourvoirie is more a SUV-adapted trail than a sedan car, about 7km.The room is very small, poorly soundproofed and lighted, very superficial cleaning and no fridge. Refuse the # 21, it overlooks on the pathway that the other guests use to walk to the main building and is by the doors to access the building (it might be noisy) .The beds are very high, but it is a necessary otherwise you would not know where to put your suitcase (underneath). Although we paid for two nights, the coffee capsules in the room for the second night were not offered and information taken from the front desk is charged $ 2 each.Access to the pool and sauna is not free, add $ 20 extra in your package.Simply put, the feeling of being a traveling wallet has left us with a bitter taste.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Décevant – Ne recommande pas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though I don't speak French. This place is about a 30 minute drive from Saguenay, and off a 7 km dirt road. This was just what I was looking for; to be near natural attractions. There are good trails right from the lodge, or there are many options for hikers in the nearby national park. We stayed in a chalet, which is small but comfortable and rustic. The bathroom was better than I expected for a small chalet. Spectacular views! We had dinner at the lodge on two nights. It was a Prix-fixe menu, different each night. I loved the duck breast! There was a small lake nearby where we went swimming. A nice bar with many local beers and liquors.

Come here for the views, maybe a drink at the bar or lunch. Not to stay, in my humble opinion. The rooms are tiny and the images they show you when booking the room is completely disconnected from reality. Our room had the tiniest window facing the Fjord. It was not soundproof (the family in the room next door snored and that kept us up!) And the staff weren't very good at cleaning the rooms. The dinner and breakfast is over-priced for what you get, and the hotel nickels and dimes you - $10/day for internet in the room, $2/k-cup if you want your morning coffee etc. It's all a bit frustrating.Oh and if you drive a nice car, especially one that's rear wheel drive just know that once you get off the highway you drive 7km in dirt road with a lot of stones etc.

Definitely not worth the price. Their views are amazing, but they treat their customers very cheaply: You have to pay $50 extra to reserve" the pool. You're also not allowed to eat your own food anywhere outside your room. They kicked us out from the lounge because we tried to eat our breakfast sandwiches there
