My family experienced ferry for the first time. It was a mesmerising, weather was great. Breakfast available in the vessel was delicious, restroom were very neet and sanitised. All together it was an wonderful trip.

Love taking the ferry over to PEI when crossing times allow. Took my 13 year old daughter, she was nervous but food and free wi-fi helped her relax.

A very nice ferry ride, lots of comfortable seating options and a little cafeteria on board.Free from NS to PEI if you don't make a reservation, (likely not necessary outside of the summer months) but they recommend to arrive early (45 mins) just to be sure.

Great experience! Ours was a little longer than we had planned as we showed up a bit late for the ferry we hoped to be on. But we made the most of it and went for a walk around the area as well as had some lunch while waiting for the ferry to come back to get us. The process of getting on and off was seamless and the time on the ferry was full of things to do, see and hear. Highly recommend this as one of the ways on or off PEI.

Paid for the ferry to secure a spot. Wish the website have a count of how many spots were left. Many people appeared to get on free without reservations. It was a quick trip to PEI. Recommend using the bridge to enter PEI and this free ferry to leave... That route could have saved us $100 USD!

there is a cafeteria on board (but it’s a little stuck in the past). fun thing to do once in a life time! we got caught in a gale and had to circle, so we came off sick but i’ll have those memories for life lol

The Wood Islands to Caribou Ferry is a treat and a nice break when travelling east or west in Atlantic Canada. The boat crew is friendly, the food is good and fairly priced, and many passengers are filled with happy faces. You could call the rides like a mini vacation. I am glad to have discovered the ferry as an option from and back home to PEI.

A nice experience! Definitely recommend for the experience. The ferry was easy to get to and onboarding went smoothly (Caribou, NS to Wood Islands, PE). Once on the boat, there was a lot of seating available. I went on a clear day and the view was beautiful. Departing the ferry was also very smooth. Food and water is available to purchase on the boat. I didn’t get seasick although I’ve heard others get seasick on the ride.

Cant stress enough how simple the whole ferry catching process was! The lady at the gate was charming and super friendly as well!
