Plymouth Cordage Retirement Residence

My great aunt has lived at Plymouth Cordage for a few years now and has always enjoyed it. She speaks French and has a lot of French speaking friends there. We are very grateful for everyone at Plymouth for providing a good home for my aunt. The staff and the management are top notch and the food is great as well, my family and I are very pleased.

Residents and Staff here are great! The staff are always friendly and eager to help. The rooms are clean and inviting. The food is wonderful, lot's of variety and plentiful. Love the atmosphere - very welcoming! Great sense of community! Good job Plymouth Cordage!

One of the worst places ever. Absolutely no regard for the residents and no staff. The few good staff are overworked and stressed beyond belief. This is not a place for your loved ones if they need any care at all. Even the dining room is short staffed and you are not made to feel welcome. My advice - go anywhere else.

The care provided at Plymouth Cordage is top notch. The staff provide excellent care and treat the residents like family. I would recommend this facility to anyone needed a little extra care.

I share the same review as a gentleman above me. The residents' needs do not come first, management's does. Not enough staff, and when they have decent staff, mysteriously they get dismissed with little to no explanation.Staffing and management wasn't very good since approximately 2018 and from what I've experienced, it is still not great presently. Loads of staff, particularly in the dietary department, have complained and even left or been fired for ridiculous reasons and treated with disrespect. I recently spoke with an employee, a dear friend, and she confided that they fired one woman just one week after they learned she had potential disabilities, and fired her the same day they told her that she was appreciated there! Not professional to do that at all. They also fired a woman who had worked there for 14+ years.....and several others, all in dietary. They are presently running the kitchen and dining room without a Head of Dietary, and I hear its a mess. Residents complain daily, some have even left to go to other places. It's a shame, its a beautiful place, with some staff that really do care, but until management clears up the mess or management is entirely replaced with people who know what they're doing, it'll remain on a downward spiral. Which is unfortunate, because it's the residents that should be coming first. it's just very disheartening, we expect our elderly to be cared for, we entrust them in their care. We expect employees to be treated with fairness and dignity, and when that isn't present it's dehumanizing and demeaning.

I had a family member at Plymouth Cordage. I was very happy with the care they received. The staff are amazing.

The team at Plymouth does an amazing job at caring for its residents. From the recreation programs, the food choices and the care services. Thank you to the staff and management for all that you do to care for our seniors!

Staff are great, residents are great but the owners and head management have 0 respect for workers, very stuck up, rude, and make you feel terrible.would not recommend working here
