Puppy Power Dog Training - Boarding & Daycare Location

Have 3 great dogs because of Sam and her training/daycare. She is always improving her classes to engage the dogs and learn new skills outside of basic puppy training.

Sam and Puppy Power have been an absolute life saver when it comes to our puppy, Miller! We have used Sam for Puppy and Intermediate classes and Miller sees her once a week for daycare.Sam's use of positive reinforcement and the skills we learned in her classes have been unbelievable helpful when training our energetic doodle.Sending him to Daycare has also been amazing for Miller. Sam posts regular updates about how our pup is doing on her Instagram page so we know he is having a blast all day long. I wouldn't trust sending Miller anywhere else for day care!

We brought our pup, Eve, to two of Sam's puppy classes (beginner and intermediate), and several times to daycare. Sam is passionate about what she does, and is incredibly knowledgeable. Sam only uses positive reinforcement, fear-free training. This is the only type of training I would ever consider. It works amazingly well, and helps to build a bond between you and your dog that includes the most important relationship building block: trust. We just loved Sam's classes -- we not only learned a lot about training our new puppy, we were given the tools we needed to continue to train our pup and build a relationship with her. Eve loved them, too! On a side note, I have a disability, and Sam was so understanding and accommodating of it, which is wonderful. Thank you, Sam!

A little bit of history- I first fell into using positive reinforcement training after working with another trainer (Dominence based) for a year to deal with aggression issues in my Doberman. When things only got worse I tried Greg Ceci who immediately recognized my dobe’s fear based reactions and helped me transform the way I look at dogs behavior and training the difference in my dog was quick, powerful and long lasting. When we got a puppy I immediately looked up Greg Ceci’s partner Norma Jeanne Laurette who formerly owned puppy power to sign up for classes. It was a surprise to see Sam DeJong as the new owner however she is excellent. We drive over an hour to attend Sam's positive reinforcement based classes. Our Pup is almost 6 months we have attended basic training, socialization classes and boarding at Sam’s house. Training with Sam is fun, you never feel uncomfortable with her methods and she always has an effective answer to your dog problem. She also has many paper resources available to her clients and responds promptly to messages for support. I have had compliments from neighbors, friends, strangers and the pet store on how well behaved our Luna is. Highly recommend the Puppy Imprinting Program! We heard about Sam through a few friends that had used her services and we knew we needed help training our first puppy. After the program our pup was crate, house and leash trained, and could do a number of commands. We had the tools to continue the training at home and Sam is always available to answer questions even after the program is over. She also offers boarding for imprinting puppies - which is a huge stress relief of having someone you trust to watch your pup while your away.

This past weekend our Bernedoodle puppy came back from her 8 week stay at Sam for imprinting. The results speak to Sam's mastercraft. Our pup is a total delight. In 8 weeks, Sam transformed our adorable yet totally hyper puppy into a perfect family pet. Our pup is polite, confident, and happy go-lucky, the latter attribute no-doubt from Sam's positive way of training.Sam made sure to tailer our dog's training to our specific family needs; we have young children and busy home. Sam's communication and level of service is A plus. She is a true professional, and clearly her work is a labour of love. Every dog that joins our family will go to Sam first for imprinting.

We sent our 9 week old Vizsla to Samantha at Puppy Power Training for Imprinting. We just got her back after 4 weeks and what an amazing difference. Samantha is incredibly patient and our puppy has all the fundamentals down pat. We were totally amazed at our puppy's ability to walk on a loose leash, she knows all the basic commands and more importantly she is eager to learn and be trained. She knows what to expect and what is expected. Best of all Samantha is so quick to respond to any questions we have. Samantha even made a training video just for us so we can continue the training at home. At first we were nervous to send our little Nala away, but honestly she couldn't have been in better hands. Thanks Samantha, you really did an incredible job with our puppy!

I'm currently working with Samantha with my 5 month old Samoyed puppy and I have to say that this has been an amazing experience. Her methods not only work but she really makes herself available for any questions/doubts/advice you need regarding your pooch once you become her client. That is so very appreciated! She also runs socialization classes which are a great way to intro your dog to other dogs under supervision. She has a lovely property and setup and the dogs clearly seem to enjoy themselves very much!

Sam is the real puppy whisperer and has been an absolute life saver to our family when we got two new puppies within 6 weeks of each other. Our puppies are well trained thanks to her and when they board with her she sees to their well being in every way. I have had other trainers with our former dogs and Sam is by far the best we've ever had.

I can’t say enough about Puppy Power dog training. When I dropped my puppy off for the imprinting program, she was so tiny and scared. When I got her back she was confident and ready to take on the world! From the moment I picked my dog up from Puppy Power, she was incredible. She is potty trained, knows a few tricks, and is crate trained. What is most important to me is her happiness and confidence. She is really good on walks and is great with other people and dogs. Puppy Power’s Imprinting Program was the perfect environment for my dog to grow up in. She grew up around dogs and people and learned how to behave well with both.I am normally nervous about leaving my dogs with other people, but I was very confident leaving her with Sam. Sam is amazing with dogs and she keeps an active Instagram that allowed me to watch my dog grow while when was at Puppy Power. It was the highlight of my day to check Puppy Power’s Instagram and see my dog playing and growing up with the other dogs. Sam’s positivity training was so good for my dog’s confidence and I enjoyed watching her train my dog is such a nice manner. Next time I get a new puppy, I will absolutely take them to Puppy Power’s Imprinting program.Like I said before, I honestly think it is the best possible environment for a puppy to grow up in. I am so happy with my dog’s training and the demeanor that she learned at Puppy Power. Sam was very responsive to my messages and has great customer support. I am so grateful for Sam and Puppy Power dog training, I know my dog loved it so much and she learned all the life skills she needed to get started. I can’t thank Puppy Power enough!
