Found this place after the other breakfast places we went by were way too busy on a weekend. A large and interesting space with a counter in the first room for one or two person parties.I got the two eggs + crepe and shared the tourtière and sugar pie. Everything was tasty, and I'm glad I got the crepe because it came with maple syrup that I could pour on everything like I was in a sugar shack. Beans were good and the first non-sweet ones I've had here. Sugar pie was decadent and perfect.I like that this restaurant is open in the evening (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) as it might be the first restaurant I've found in the city that does breakfast for dinner, an underrated meal. I'm not quebecoise so I can't say for sure, but it feels for me like very Quebec food. No skimping on fat or flavor.Super friendly and fast service ! Will definitely be back !

I was excited to try something more traditional to Quebec and really liked the food, especially the pea soup. There was a young man serving, who was the most welcoming host ever! He would explain the dishes and suggest what and how to combine.

There are many good restaurants in Montreal, but for breakfast this is a must try. The baked bean was delicious and yes, it was cooked with lard. The black sausage was the best ever but I did not care for the meat pie. The owner was very friendly.

Came here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised!The food was good, and the service was friendly.Prices are very reasonable and the breakfast platters give you plenty of sides.It’s nice to have breakfast options that give you all the meats (ham, bacon, and sausage) and you don’t have to choose only one of them.The combos also include coffee or tea, which is great.Loved this place and would definitely recommend it.No

We love a good breakfast/brunch and are thrilled to have “discovered” La Biniere Mont-Royal. These folks have been in business for 85 years, and after two visits it’s obvious why.The service is fast and friendly, the food is top notch, and the prices are super reasonable.Many, many reviews mention the in-house made baked beans - and they are as decadently delicious as people say. The beans are cooked to perfection in pork fat and served on the side of a number of breakfast plates. They’re also served as a feature on their own. They are not to be missed.The same goes for their tourtierre (listed on the menu as “meat pie”). The meat is perfectly seasoned and the pastry is dense yet flaky as any meat pie crust should be.And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention their creton. Again, made in-house and a perfect accompaniment to the oven-top cooked bread that accompanies many breakfast options.The French toast is fabulous; their crepes are simple perfection; they cook perfect eggs; and, their sausage, bacon and ham are all local and delicious.Highly, highly recommended.

It was a solo brunch day- I kinda went in blind, honestly I was intrigued by the seating arrangement by looking from outside and felt like today is the day to try a Quebecois brunch. My server was a very sweet french uncle, he was so polite and gave some good suggestions. Loved the ambience and food. Next time definitely going for lunch !!

I didn't know what to expect, but I was curious about Quebecois food. The restaurant is quite spacious and our waiter was very friendly. I tried their recommended meal that includes meatballs, mashed potatoes, veggies, and much more. The beans at this restaurant are fantastic as they cooked in pork fat. Definitely a great dining experience!

One of the best meals I have had in my entire life. Portions are both delicious and enormous. It's an old school restaurant which has undergone evident recent renovations. Server was a man with a large white beard who was a true character and gentleman. We just loved it and would intend to return.

Delicious and great value. It felt very authentic Quebecois. The beans that came with breakfast have to be a highlight and how often does one day that about a bean side dish! And the creton was lovely! Service: friendly, helpful. This place is like going back in time but just for the good stuff hahaha. Perfect stop for late breakfast on a weekday.
