I could not ask for a more professionally run, exceptional ballet school. MaryEllen and all the instructors are very talented, caring, supportive, and knowledgeable about ballet. My daughters have been dancing there since they were 4! They have grown so much as ballet dancers as well as, exceptional young women!

The Ballet School of Vermont has been such a positive and meaningful place for our daughter. She began dancing at the age of 3.5 and we knew that if she was choosing to dance that we, as parents, wanted her to have an authentic and classical experience.All of the teachers at the Ballet School have been providing her with exactly that type of experience for the last 9 years. The training and guidance that she has received has allowed her to grow into a dedicated and talented ballerina. Dancers are not only learning the correct placement that their bodies need to be in while dancing, but are also developing a serious mindset of the art of dance.Our daughter has learned not only the ballet positions but also qualities of grace, focus, determination, and perseverance – qualities that will be important for her to have in all that she encounters throughout life. We are truly grateful for The Ballet School of Vermont and feel blessed that it is a part of our lives.

I am so fortunate to have such an excellent ballet school in our corner of Northern Vermont. My daughter has been a student for 6 years and through MaryEllen Vickery and the other professional teachers at the school, she has developed not only a love for the sport, but a passion and discipline to pursue excellence. The curriculum allows for students to grow their training as their own enthusiasm develops. This year she was accepted into several renowned ballet summer intensives, which is a testament to the quality and commitment of the teachers, as well as their ability to make ballet class fun and engaging.
