Really upset with low attention to aircrafts. Aircraft in very bad shape DXE has some issues every flight Do yourself a favor save your life don’t fly with those planes no maintenance period. Ask for maintenance logs books. And I’m sure you will find something not working in those antique 172Your life worth more. Runway is disaster as well

Generally speaking this is a very nice place for flight training and flying small planes, but there are two things you need to be worried about (or pay serious attention to).The first thing is the size of runway, it is very narrow. Just 35 feet wide, If it is 10 feet wider, that would be a significant improvement. So I believe it is very difficult for a rookie pilot to make very good landing on it.The second thing is a flight examiner which this flight school usually cooperate with named Alan, he is a very experienced pilot for sure, but I don't like how he does his job as a flight examiner at all. How he failed my multi-engine flight test was the biggest and the most ridiculous nightmare in my flying career. Personally I would never suggest anyone to have flight test with him. Unless I really hate that person or that person is really a genius pilot.By the way, their multi-engine plane broke down at another critical moment in my flight career. The owner promised to fixed it as soon as possible, but...I don't know what to say, he is a really nice person, but l feel really disappointed.(If you are watching, I beg you to fix the multi asap, I will come back if there is a chance)

Had an amazing time flying DXE at Near North Aviation with the CFI, Alan Frosst, to do a flight review. Very fortunate to be able to fly with someone who has so much experience.Looked at logbooks like previous reviewer mentioned - very impressed with maintenance and new engine in DXE.The runway at York is small, but that makes it the perfect place to train because it will only be easier when you fly into other airports with larger runways!
