Howard Johnson hotel should be use for nanaimo mental health and homeless, a place tourists info to plan there stay! As it would be a easy fix with plentyroom for a drop, in comunitie resourse center with info for events and other info needed for tourist. It will have acess to showers, lyndry and compters (etc) a chance to relax or just a place to communicate. all in one place. open 24/7I would base criteria for this with the rules and regulation . based on mutiple community resources and centers, hoping to have support from some of the support that i know of , im currently at work b.c,where i do most resoursing, host, vitc, gt hiring, host, labourunlimited, salvation army, Samaritan house, 710 and fishes& loaves, caldoinia shower , johnhoward and any other support that has open to help the community has to offer.shelter ,detox ,trements and guidance counclers also a place to host events such aa/na meetings, job fairs and a easy place to get info from the community. where more resousers are avaibe helping some problem solving with help from nanaimo community most of them volunteer'spurpose is to build, entry-level stability for the on going and growing community!Focusing on support services for men and women,& teen who are also coping with a variety of challenges such as mental illness, addiction and chronic health or just need help . to seek out the source avaibleAnother plan for this facility is to have shelter, detoxtrement, training and travel guidance with counclers; also a place to host events such aa/na meetings, job fairs, or any event needing planinng. A easy place to get organized info from the community. All at one place, but keeping the reosurce that are already esthablished open. but making it easier to communcate amongs each other.Vision: “A safe, supportive environment, that helps clients help themselves in their transition to stable housing; sober living and any other life skills needed such finding help where all individuals treat themselves, to the help they want focusing on their need and their surroundings. with out grtttig of track.Treating everyone with Equal respect.Other info I include.1 Terminal Avenue, Nanaimo, BC, V9R1 Terminal Avenue, Nanaimo, BCThe 100-room Howard Johnson Harbourside Hotel in Nanaimo has closing its doors on Oct. 31 2019 after 56 years of business.
