Picked up the antique rocker yesterday. I was very impressed with the quality of the repair! There had been some questionable repairs made years ago by someone else.They were able to sort what useful and made more appropriate and repairs actually work.

Brought our Seth Thomas mantle clock to The Old Wood Works (after taking it to a previous clock repair shop who had it for 4 months and after their repairs, the clock only ran for a few weeks). Charlie had our clock for 2 weeks and had our clock running smoothly and chiming beautifully. He gave a detailed invoice explaining all the adjustments made and even went so far as to provide instruction sheets on how to wind the clock and make all necessary adjustment in the future (if required). I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend The Old Wood Works for your clock repairs.

Charlie takes great pride in his work and his love of restoration and expertise thereof is evident from the moment you meet him. He helped me fix an old table at a great price..not only that, I had walked in to see if the hinges he had (that are rare to find) would fit my piece, and he fixed it then and there, giving me a small history lesson about my table, as well as care and tlc instructions along the way. I would highly recommend Charlie to anyone.

Charlie and everyone are so welcoming. My mother had antiques fixed up many many years ago and then my grandparents 1920’s chime clock needed refinishing and the face re-silvered. Charlie took care of it and it operated for over ten years. I recently couldn’t find him because of his move, I forgot the name of the business so I took my clock to get repaired to a different clock repair store and was told it was broken and could not be fixed. I finally found old wood works info and Charlie had it fixed with his magic hands and amazing craftsmanship.
