Source K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation

Great experience with the 2-week board and train program for our 2.5yo street dog rescue from Egypt who was not treat motivated, had OK recall but would not come back immediately, would sprint towards other dogs occasionally, and showed some anxiousness towards other dogs while on leash. Previous trainers recommended that we try an electric collar for her. We found Poppy and Source K9, and booked the program when it was available. She provided updates during the program so that we could follow progress. During pickup we were taught how to use the collar, and continue with the training, and answer any question we had. Our dog is happier, more attentive to us, and looks to us for guidance and direction. She gets excited when we put the collar on her. Now when off leash she runs back to us when called, and does not bark/growl at other dogs while on leash.

These fantastic people saved our dog. He was incredibly dominant. Poppy and Rebecca made him, and showed us how to make him, be a respectful, happy, and loving animal. He's no longer expressing dominance issues and is happier for it. Source K9 is the only trainers I would recommend.

My Malinois was feak aggressive and on occasion dangerous. 2 weeks of board and train with Poppy saved her life. We has a dog who we can trust around friends and family and more importantly she's a happier pup!

Rebecca and Poppy were invaluable in allowing myself and my boyfriend to keep our olde english bulldogge. After many reward-based trainers, training programs, and anti-aggression lessons, we were at a loss. We already had a great dog, and Poppy at Source K9 made him better. Remy (a 3yo aussiedoodle) just had a few minor issues to work out. We like to take him hiking off-leash, but Remy had trouble with recall, especially around other dogs. After two weeks with Poppy, Remy is doing great! We are now able to take him for off-leash walks/hikes without any problems. He didn't even chase a cat yesterday!Popply was very professional and communicative. I would definitely recommend her for dog training.

We have a 5-year-old cane corso x, Seth, who has been a dominant, head strong, and protective dog who would react to the mailman, other dogs while out walking, and sometimes other single people out walking. After we found out that we were pregnant, his behaviour escalated and we reached out to Poppy after Seth slipped out of our front door and pinned a passing dog to the sidewalk. No one was injured, but we were nervous that the behaviour had escalated to this point, especially with a new baby coming into our lives.After an initial phone consult with Poppy, she was confident that her two lesson package would be sufficient to help us learn how to manage Seth's protective and dominant behaviour. We were skeptical, but trusted her and, boy, are we happy that we did.We purchased an e-collar and went to our first lesson with Poppy. After the first lesson, we had already seen changes in Seth. We continued with what we learned and Seth has become calm, non-reactive dog who is more confident, loving, and most importantly-not reactive.We are now comfortable walking Seth at peak hours, he is indifferent to the mailman when he comes to our house. Seth has changed for the better, and it's all thanks to Poppy.

I would recommend Poppy to anyone who needs help with their dog. She is very good at what she does. We wanted a pit bull pup. I was set on having him be an ambassador for his breed. I started training but felt he needed just a bit more oomph, I decided that it would be best to get him professionally trained and so I sent him to Poppy, what I got back was far better than I could have imagined and the best part our pup at 9 months old is respectful, calm and most importantly happy. He understands us now it’s like we speak the same language now lol. Thank you Poppy you really are fantastic. I would and have recommended you to anyone looking for help. Wether it’s just regular foundation training or your at your wits end I would and will 100% remain a client with Source K9 !

The Last Stop. Newly adopted Nyx had been to a traditional chain trainer, then a positive reinforcement trainer who had to step away because she was unable to help us with Nyx's explosive reactivity to other dogs even on leash ones. Nyx soon after bit my wife in a blind rage trying to get to another dog outside walking our home. We were at the end of our abilities and our dog was getting worse. This was the last stop before she lived the rest of her natural life in a kennel and run. She is only 5years old. Rebecca gave us the tools to fairly communicate with Nyx what was expected of her. We did not rob her of her dog-ness or happiness. She is now able to be safely off leash, has a safe recall and has boundaries. Her technique is humane and clear. My beloved dog was on a crash coarse to no-where-good. Rebecca gave Nyx a chance to shine with limits and receive praise when success is achieved. She's a Tibetan Mastiff and now a lovely example of what the breed can rise to if effectively communicated with. Its hard work but worth it. She was worth it her happiness and dog-love is boundless and Rebecca and crew gave us a gift. Nyx.

I can't imagine my life with my dogs without the training they receieved at Source K9. My dogs have never been happier, they now have balance and security. I know that I have total control over them to keep them safe when we are out in any situation. I constantly have people comment how happy and well trained they are.Source K9 gave my dogs complete loving care, dedication and attention while they were at the facility.While there for lessons I got to observe the other dogs and it was wonderful to see how happy they all were.
