U-Haul Moving & Storage at Rexdale Blvd

I really needed a storage unit so I thought U-Haul would be a good bet so I reserved one online and got a moving company to help me move all my belongings as I am alone here in toronto as a student, once we got to the unit a very rude and unfriendly staff member told me “no we have no storage go somewhere else” I was confused as I had reserved the unit but apparently it’s first come first serve U-Haul do better you need to make sure people know this because what am I supposed to do? I had all my stuff with me with no where else to go an hour away from my friends house where I was staying and I had to pay my moving company for three extra hours because of this ordeal. The lady would not help me whatsoever then finally after trying for a while she was like there is another facility (this was all at the Queensway facility) the other place was rexdale Blvd so we drive there about 30 minutes away and get there and they also tell me they have no units but the lady at the previous place told me she had called and reserved a unit for me there I was furious and did not know what to do like come on U-Haul plus the lady at the fest had no idea whatsoever how to do her job they do not what to help you here. Then the manager comes out and they talk and she says yes sure we have a unit. Finally my stuff moved in I leave it there for exactly one month and I come back to get it and there are literal cockroaches on my furniture so many of them half dead and half alive it was disgusting I had to throw my stuff away I told the staff and they did not seems to care they just told me to call this number as per usual with businesses like these. Absolute nightmare will never be going to U-Haul again and I would never suggest anyone else go ever very bad customer service and awful standards absolutely not.

employeee was so rude . they dont even know how to talk with customers we reserved the truck and then when me and my friend reached there they told us that there is no truck available at the moment .Never going back again .

First they charged me for Sunday even after cancelling my appointment. I had to pick up my Cargo van on Sunday @ 6:00pm and they couldn't finish it so cancelled it and charged me for that also. When Monday I went back and they gave me a cargo van, the return time was next day 4:00pm(almost 24 hours) and I returned on the same day at 8:30pm(within 5 hours) and they charged me $20 extra for late return or something. It's ridiculous. I had to pay $300 for not picking up my stuff on time on Sunday and they charged me overall $70-80 extra without any reason. I'm not going back to this location also won't recommend to any of my friends.

When picking up the vehicle, there were 3 people ahead of me that all had given reservations, and the vehicle was not available. When I got to the desk, my vehicle was not available either. I had to wait an hour and a half for the vehicle to be available. There was not hitch on the truck which was the only reason I rented it. I then had to buy one. There was No extension given to me to cover the late time it took to pick up. “Your reservation started at 12” I was told. Customer service was terrible and rude. Overall service was slow. Will definitely look for an alternative company to use in future. And I’m sure all the people that I talk to about the company will do the same

I had my first and last booking from this location. If you need a normal customer service STAY AWAY!!! Woman who works there doesn’t have any knowledge about the customer care!!!

Absolutely bulls**t.......they took everyone's 24 hour access away with zero notifications and are still charging the same rate for the storage units. The excuse that they gave is they found someone sleeping in a unit so we all have to suffer now. I have a pretty sizable unit there and spend quite a bit of money on it and I don't believe that this an adequate excuse for taking away 24hr access

Worse place to rent with, i had booked a 5x8 uhaul trailer almost 2 weeks ago, they give me a call stating that other customer is creating an issue and that they will need to give me a 6x12 trailer when i had booked a 5x8 the customer service is so garbage, and they should give the $50 reservation gurantee, i recommend not using this place.

Overall, the U Haul brand is terrible. I made a reservation on May 21st and unbeknownst to me , it was cancelled on May 22. I called to confirm to only find this out 5 days prior to my move. Left with no truck and a specialist is going to call me, however this call can happen anytime ….U Haul, clean up your act. Do yourself a favour and rent from a different company altogether. Your service is a high stakes service which requires the utmost communication and professionalism. Y’all don’t have it.

Very good, matter of fact Great Service!! Rented a pickup truck and a car hauler for 2 days. Truck was great to drive and trailer couldn't have been better!! 100% satisfaction!!!
