Best Costco around. No lines, never crowded. Worth the time going from Calgary to Okotocs

To me, this is the best Costco, not in Calgary but very close from it. Is only a 15 to 20 minute drive from shawnessy. Staff are a lot more relaxed and actually willing to assist you compared to the Heritage one where I found staff have become bitter and just not willing to assist their customers as that location is very busy I guess.And lines!? Barely during the weekdays! I find that mid month and end of the month on weekends is very very busy but not near as bad as other Costco’s.

You have to be savvy as not all their prices are “best”. Seem to have inconsistencies in stock and items too. Staff aren’t brilliant. Regularly close tills even though they are 6-7 deep each in people. Then you have the final checker - line really what is the point of them.Summary - Prices are ok but can find cheaper elsewhere and customer service sucks

This is my favorite Costco ever. Super.clean. never too busy, even at lunch rush and weekends. Great location, tons of parking and they fill propane tanks.

Love this location even though it can be busy, especially at certain times and days, but this isn't unusual or particularly bad. Always a good idea to have a solid cart driver" to maneuver through the store easier."

I don’t know what is up the employees’ b-u-t-t-s lately, but this location almost refuses to give us boxes to carry our groceries out. They hesitate to ask if we need them, then when we request 2 boxes, they straight up only give us 1 box, as if we are just going to suddenly forget or not even notice that we asked for 2 boxes only moments ago. Today the person assisting with packing looked at me and my husband like we had 6 heads when we asked for 2 boxes, simply because I was carrying some reusable grocery bags. Yes, we brought some bags (already anticipating their hesitance to give boxes). No, the bags were not enough to accommodate the load we had. During our shopping trip, we walked past several pallet carts stacked dozens high with empty cardboard boxes. I have no idea why the employees here are acting like they are a rare commodity, or being surprised or offended when people ask for one; no idea why they feel the need to deny them to customers. This repeated behaviour at this location has made shopping here feel really strange, uncomfortable, and inconvenient. We don’t always remember to bring bags, or sometimes not enough. I have no idea how these employees expect me to carry dozens of individual groceries like packaged or jar items into my home without a box. Really strange behaviour from these employees, and don’t understand why they would be doing this.

Brittany at the pharmacy is awesome! She consistently goes above and beyond when I need something out of the ordinary. Plus she is friendly and always a pleasure to have helping me. You have a great employee there Costco. Don't let her go!4/19/2023 the previous review was from a month ago or so. Brittany outdid herself again. Called to inform me that there was a benefit for one of the medications I'm on to get it much cheaper. Told me she filled it because I'm due for a refill and to come in. Wow! I don't know that I have EVER had such great service, at least from a pharmacy. Thank you thank you thank you again Brittany!!! You are awesome!

Horrible experience. My first time to the Okotoks outlet. Never again! Staff are so rude and unprofessional . They don't even look at your face if you are talking to them! Even a thank you from me was met with a grumpy face who simply turned away grumbling. They don't want to talk to you! I have been to several Costcos. Never been so upset with my shopping experience. All the staff seemed to be annoyed and unhappy in their job! Worst Costco experience ever!!!!
