Nirvana Academy of Violin

My daughter began lessons with Nirvana just before her 4th birthday, and in the year since, has learned how to play 9 traditional Suzuki songs, plus several other children's favourites. She is also learning to sight read music, which she especially loves. Nirvana is a warm, patient, and knowledgeable teacher who truly cares about her students and their progress. Would be happy to recommend this violin academy to anyone looking to learn the correct techniques in a supportive environment.

Nirvana has been a wonderful violin teacher to our daughter. She is fun, responsible, strict and relaxed at the same time. It is a very difficult instrument to learn, but with Nirvana I believe our daughter is well on her way to develop and advance her music education! We love you, Nirvana!

Our daughter wanted to learn violin, so we chose Nirvana Academy of Violin for her. It is an excellent music school! All teachers are very professional, careful and friendly. They teach my daughter patiently from the first step like posture, fingers, music and theory. There are both dedicated individual teaching and group concert rehearsal training. More importantly, teachers explain the art of musical works to help children understand the emotions and spirits expressed by music. They let children really learn music knowledge, vividly understand music works, quickly improve their violin performance, and achieve excellent results in the music examination! We like this school very much. It is a kind of beautiful enjoyment of music art, and we have made many sincere good friends!

Nirvana and her academy were extremely encouraging and supportive to us after our daughter had a terrible rejection experience from her former violin teacher of 5 years.Talented Anna became her new violin instructor and was just what the doctor ordered: Soothing, benevolent and not aggressive or controlling in any way. In addition, Anna's early childhood education implemented throughout her violin lessons with our daughter was gold. She was very knowledgeable about how best to teach our daughter to play this instrument.Anna is a kindred spirit. She is encouraging, easy going and doesn't stress out her students or make them cry. We highly recommend Anna if you are seeking a lovely new instructor with today's wisdom about how to properly teach children and who has the kindness, grace and patience required to help kids reach their potential.

My daughter has been attending this academy for the last 3 years. In those, few years, her violin performance skills has greatly improved under the direct instruction of the owner, Nirvana and her former instructor Peter. Thanks to Nirvana's coaching, my daughter achieved advanced levels of RCM and passed the audition to Calgary Youth Orchestra: the most coveted orchestra for the young ones. :)The teachers working at this academy are all hard-working; encouraging their students to try their very best. There are many recitals and events that are organised by this academy that motivates their students well to express their talent.I highly recommend this academy to all parents who wish their child to be the best possible violinist they can be! :))

When we joined Nirvana 4 years ago, both my sons were ready to ditch violin playing for good. Nirvana's fun, innovative and encouraging teaching style made a difference! Today, my older son has totally embraced his journey as a violinist alongside one of Nirvana's fabulous teachers. My younger son on the other hand, found his niche playing the drums with a Nirvana- approved drum teacher. They are both committed to their music education, are excelling in their music exams and have become fine musicians, courtesy Nirvana! .

My daughter Felicia 6 y.o has started violin lessons for the very first time. I did not know where to start and was willing to go the distance to find a teacher that could inspire and encourage her at the very beginning of her music journey. We were very fortunate to find Nirvana Academy and selected teacher Sameen. Although, my daughter is just getting use to the daily routine of practicing violin she was very happy and look forward to her weekly lessons with Sameen. She was so attached to Sameen and would ask to stop by the studio just to say hello. As a parent my only wish is to introduce music to my child and hoping that she would grow to appreciates music in her life. I was extremely grateful for Sameen, such a beautiful, young and talented teacher. Sameen was able to convey and reinforce the love of music to my daughter. Thank you Nirvana Academy for cultivating such talented teachers to inspire a new generation of musicians. Keep up the great work.

My son has been in Nirvana Academy of Violin for last 2 years. Nirvana and her team's focus on the technique is outstanding. They teach the most required skills for kids like focus, strength building, intonation and art of listening while teaching violin. My son has grown tremendously in those skills along with incrementing his violin skills. Their program to perform violin concerts at least twice a year is a great learning experience for kids in a group setting. Most importantly, Nirvana's passion towards violin and her love towards kids helps them grow as little musicians to big achievers. I cannot thank the whole team enough for their contribution in my child's music journey.
