Brendan McDermott is by far one of the most compassionate, confident competent lawyers I’ve ever come across. Dealing with a very painful separation involving family law for shared parenting regime/custody of my son was extremely stressful and draining especially being a father who only wanted to what was best for my son and ensure my son had both parents in his life. Brendan not only did exactly what he said he was going to do for my son he also achieved it. Brendan was honest with me even when I may have not wanted to hear it. Brendan is a supporter not a fan, which means he will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. Brendan is also very organized, thorough and so are his staff Nicole and Amanda. Brendan is someone I wish I didn’t have to meet, however now that I have I could not have been more happy I did as he focused on what matters and that is the children who become affected. Brendan was always open about the love he has for his own children and was empathetic to what I was going through as a father. There is a book called Tug of War by Justice Harvey Browstone outlining the extreme challenges of family court and what entails. Please read it. It clearly advises about lawyers. I’m glad I read this book it helped me realize that Brendan is one of the good ones out there. I hope a pray I never have to use family law services again. If I did though Brendan would be my first choice and would recommend him to anyone dealing with such matters, whether you are a Father or Mother.
