Thank you for the wonderful night. It was a quiet Sunday evening just perfect for my husband and I to have a date night. My dishes were to par but my husband found the IPA pork belly to be underwhelming. I've attached my photos of my meal, I think I made the better choice :) app Dutch Scotch egg and main dish Ontario Chuck Steak.

Fancy but slow service despite extraordinarily gourmet pub food. Chic, mid century inspired decor, nice lofty vibe yet extremely slow service, attended the place after lunch hours around 2pm, ordered a simple burger, it took over 25 mins of wait while the occupancy is less than 10 percent. Burger patty is jucy well textured and punched up by nicely done caramelized onions and crispy bacon. Chips are chunky and red hot on serving. This is a restaurant that has all the promise but fail to deliver with efficiency. The quality and taste make up for it.

Located in the former Beer Academy, Batch is bright and airy, transforming the previous event venue into a casual restaurant. The new space has a Scandinavian woodsy feel to it, as if you’ve stepped away from the city and entered wine (err.. beer) country. Owned by Creemore, they continue to brew on site with a rotating selection to match their beer friendly menu. The Lombard lager ($7) was a refreshing crisp drink with a hint of lemon and went nicely with the first two courses of the Summerlicious lunch menu ($23).The light beer was a nice contrast against the Cornish pastry, a flakey dough stuffed with shredded lamb and potatoes that’s bound together with a thick brown gravy. It’s a starter that’s reminiscent of pub food, a larger slice with salad or vegetables would be a satisfying meal.Although we visited during Summerlicious, the restaurant wasn’t too busy. Nonetheless, the succession of the meal was completely wacky. The mains arrived so quickly that a companion had to quickly finish off her starter, so they could take away the dish. But then it took FOREVER for the desserts to arrive when the longest thing to make is perhaps the glazed apple fritter. After such a long wait it was disappointing that the fritter didn’t even seem freshly fried – although warm they weren’t hot. The batter had a nice yeasty property but needed more air, so it wouldn’t be so dense and chewy. Moreover, it could use more sugar, especially since the sour cream glaze and shortbread crumble toppings weren’t overly sweet. In the end, it didn’t taste like much since even the apples were rather muted.

Nice atmosphere and interior. Good selection of beers, and you can grab a bottle with you. The food is 3/5. Service is just ok. They do have a ping long table downstairs but it's Way too dark to play, unless you have a night vision device. Generally pretty decent.

Went here for summerlious and it was great. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are very friendly. the waitress took the time to provide some recommendations and answer our questions. The food came out on time. I saw a few things I wanted to try on the menu that wasn't on the summerlious menu, so will definitely go back to try them out.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Prices and portion sizes were decent. I had a fried chicken burger and was pleased that the batter wasn't overly thick and there wasn't much filler/fat on the edges of the piece of fried chicken. Seating was comfortably spaced. Service was a little slow though. Over all, great place for lunch.

I loved it here! I came with a friend and we came for their fresh raw oysters but loved their chicken wings so much we ordered another around. The oysters were very fresh and enjoyable. They were a very good price as well, they were $1 each. In addition, they have a good selection of beers and drinks. Our server was great and kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything. A very welcoming and very pleasant experience!

Okay restaurant with decent food but on the expensive side for quality and portion. Decor is so-so. Servers are pleasant and polite.Downside to this place is the same as other such restaurants - music is to loud causing it to be difficult to have a decent dinner conversation. Decide if you want to be a restaurant or a pub. Then do it right.

Went there for winterlicious 2020. Food is so so. I think they're trying to upscale their menu for winterlicious. Batch house is more like a bar. Maybe they are better at making bar food. However, I would like to comment on the service. I went on a Wed night and the hostess was EXTREMELY RUDE.1) We went in to the restaurant and it took her a long time to at least come get us.2) She did not give a single smile for the whole night. Especially when I went up to ask her for the direction to the washroom, she didn't even look at me while giving an answer.3) She dressed like she's at a high school event. I did not feel like I went into a restaurant at all.I DO NOT recommended this place at all.
