W&M Physical Theatre

A dance studio like no other I know of in Calgary, this facility (once called W&M, then renamed Evolved Movement Arts) provides space for a variety of dance-related classes, workshops and (occassionally) meditations.There are two spacious dance studios here, both (I believe) available for private practitioners to rent by the hour.The upstairs room looks and feels a lot like a yoga studio and is primarily used for the ecstatic dance events, and other stuff for the local, spiritually-inclined community. Evolved Movement Arts is owned by Kylee Dawn, a fairly well known local facilitator and DJ. She herself hosts runs breathwork and dance events (Dance Temple and other formats). The Evolved Movement Arts fb page lists these and some of the other great stuff happening at the location that she is affiliated with. There are additional groups and practitioners that also use the space (eg. Core Connexions) besides what is listed on the fb page.The mainfloor room looks like a typical dance studio. I've only ever seen it used for adult dance classes. If there is more going on in that space, I haven't seen it yet, or the ads.
