Jess The Doula

I cannot give enough praise to Jess the Doula. Anyone I know that is expecting I refer them to Jess without hesitation. The knowledge and awareness she provided both me and my husband, not only on birth, but leading up to and what to expect afterwards was beyond what Google could ever provide me with. I truly believe she made my labour and birth experience so much more relaxing and empowering. She is extremely professional, as well as very easy to open up to and be comfortable having in your home during some of your most vulnerable moments.

Jess was my doula for both of my pregnancies, she was present for the hospital birth of my first son, and I don’t know what I would have done without her. She taught me information that allowed me to advocate for myself with confidence. She supported me postpartum with breastfeeding, and answered my 1 million texts asking 1 million questions after we came home from the hospital. When I got pregnant again I hired her even though she was unable to attend the hospital birth due to Covid restrictions. My husband travels for work so having the piece of mind that she was on call if he was away was invaluable. I had a difficult time adjusting to life as a mom of two and Jess supported me again when I needed help surviving the witching hours and getting my toddler to bed at night. She came over in the evenings and care for the baby so that I could have one:one bedtime time with my 2 year old. She even helped me sleep train when I was ready for that step. I cannot say enough great things about Jess, I learned so much from her and if I had to do it again she would be my first call <3

We have hired Jess the Doula for both of our Births and very much enjoyed her knowledge and experience with labor and childbirth. Jess is very understanding and respectful of our wishes. She helped us have natural home births and shared her insight along the way of how to encourage labor progression. She stayed after the birth to clean up and bring us food and drinks before she left. We met with Jess before the birth and she continued to follow-up up to 6 months postpartum! We definitely enjoyed sharing our journey with her and would highly recommend her!

Jessica was there from the moment I went into the hospital. She was there to keep me calm as I prepared for my scheduled csection. She also was a great support for my husband. Having going through childbirth for the first time Jessica made it an amazing experience. Jessica will definitely be there for my next birth!

Jess was our doula with both our children and she was amazing!She was wonderful during the birth of our first baby, suggesting so many different techniques and things to try during pregnancy and labour and was a huge help to my husband during the birth. She unfortunately couldn’t be with us for the birth of our second baby, due to covid, but she was still just as helpful with in person visits beforehand and over the phone during labour.We highly recommend her! She turned pregnancy and birth into such a positive experience with her intuitive and easygoing personality. I can’t imagine doing that without her now. She immediately felt like part of the family and we will always be so grateful for all of her support, understanding, and encouragement during such an emotional and vulnerable time ❤️

We hired Jess as a postpartum doula. Her impressive resume attracted our attention in our initial search but her kind, organized and informative personality were what solidified the “deal”. As first time parents, Jess helped our family in the early days with tasks related to baby and also around the house (meal prep, laundry). With Jess’ help, we gained confidence in breastfeeding, bathing, diapering and many other everyday aspects of newborn care. With her help, we felt informed instead of overwhelmed. She gently provide tips and advice without ever making us feel like we weren’t doing a good job. I appreciated her regularly asking how I (mom) was doing and feeling. She checked in regularly via text message and even offers an online portal with many helpful handouts and resources. Thanks Jess for everything!

Jess was my postpartum doula and I highly recommend her! She was kind and professional. During the first week after giving birth, she taught my husband and I so much about breastfeeding, caring for the baby and taking good care of myself. We had lots of questions and she was able to answer them all. I also appreciate her attention to detail in helping me recover. She knew what needed to be done around the house to make it clean and organized. Now I ask my husband to make food like how Jess did and to organize things the way she did! She was also punctual despite living about an hour away from my home.

We are so grateful we had Jess to help us throughout my pregnancy, labour and delivery, and postpartum. When complications arose during my delivery Jess was amazing, and whenever we tell anyone our birth story we always rave about her. We truly don't know what we would have done without her. Her wealth of knowledge and support for us has been immeasurable!
