Zack and his team were enthusiastic, down to earth, approachable, and supportive. We did the 2 day starter course and felt we learned what we need to get started tripping on our own on Lake Superior, and had a beautiful and fun time doing it.

Awesome experience! We felt super safe and reassured! Guides we very well trained and knowledgable it was a great time. Incredible to see superior in the winter. Highly recommend and will be returning!

I did the first day of the Level 1 course with S.A.N.D as a very beginner paddler. I learned so much about safety, navigation, weather forecasting, all the different paddling strokes, rescues (many different kinds!), finding the edge" of my kayak

The kids wanted to go canoeing but the park didn't have their rentals ready. We called sands and the guy was so nice, friendly and made a last minute booking for us. He even dropped off the canoe and picked it up. I would highly recommend

We had such an amazing experience with S.A.N.D. We rented a double kayak for an overnight kayak-camping trip. The owner is very helpful, the gear was great quality and the area is super beautiful. He had amazing recommendations for where to go, where to camp and what to see and provided us with maps which made it super easy to navigate. We definitely recommend this company!

I had a great introduction to sea kayaking going on a full-day tour to Battle Island with Such A Nice Day Adventures.Our guide Pablo gave us a concise introduction to the basic skills and safety measures and then we were off for a day of fun.All equipment was included and top notch; even though it was quite windy on the water, I stayed warm and always felt safe.I highly recommend S.A.N.D and plan to be back for one of their skills courses!

Such a great experience! I took the two day skills training and i learned so much in the most stunning surroundings. My instructors were kind, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and really a delight to spend the weekend with! Would recommend for all skill levels.

We had a fantastic paddling excursion with Zak. He was willing change the itinerary of the paddle according to our whims and stayed out with us much longer than the planned excursion. Very professional and experienced. We felt incredibly safe and learned a lot. The scenery was incredible. Loved it.

Awesome, we are from Thunder Bay and come out once or twice a year for a paddle. I rather rent the gear and be guided than try to own everything, so I love that fact here. SAND fully supplies everything. Zack is an awesome guide, and expert, paddles daily, winter or rain, always out on the water. He does winter tours too on the ice. The dry suits are super warm, and comfortable. Also, Rossport and this area are super beautiful, and peaceful, and just nothing else like it around. I am no expert kayaker, and I can barely fit myself 280lbs, but it is great to be on the water, and Zack is accomodating and makes it work for bigger guys like myself. Everyone else smaller than me fits.

I took the two-day beginner kayaking adventure with SAND. We had four students in our group and two instructors each day, which meant that there were plenty of opportunities for focused instruction. There was a good selection of gear and generally it seemed to be high quality and in good shape. There was a pretty big range of ability in our group but the instructors did a great job making sure that everyone was getting what they wanted out of the course. And the location was absolutely stunning, in and around Cloud Bay and then out around Tiger Island where the views are particularly striking in their primeval majesty. Overall this seemed like great value for what I paid and is an easy recommend for me.
