There are numerous services which run out of the hub. I’ve used the services at the hub many times and know many others who have come through their doors. Charanjit, the manager at the Hub, has always stood out for his friendly and caring approach every time I’ve had the chance to speak with him. There are other staff who are also friendly and reflective the same level of care and concern for the community. Keep up the good work!

The Hub is a great community center that hosts many programs and services to help people the people of the community. I volunteered in the programs MSYL and the Homework Help Club, two programs that demonstrate how the Hub provides programs and services that help the local community. I really enjoyed my time helping others as a volunteer in both these programs, spending most of my time with MSYL. Volunteering here also helped me grow as a person, gaining leadership skills/experience that is invaluable.MSYL, which stands for Mind and Spirit Youth Leadership is a group of dedicated and hard-working youth and staff that organizes many programs that help people (especially other youth) in the community gain important skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork and cooperation. These programs also prepare youth to be knowledgeable, and helpful leaders in their communities and lead a healthy lifestyle. Some of these programs include CHEF program where you learn how to/participate in cooking healthy meals, Litter Butt Initiative raising awareness about effects of smoking on lungs, DTalks/GLTR are social support groups where young males/females about pressing issues in the lives of youth, Care Kit Initiative where youth prepare and deliver care kits with useful items to homeless people. The Homework Help Club was a great way for elementary students to get help on subjects they were learning in class right after school. Participants liked the 1 on 1 interactions, as it gave them more attention and time to improve their understanding of school concepts and work on homework and assignments. The staff at Hub are kind and attentive. Working with Charanjit Singh, the Community Wellness and Engagement Manager who oversees many programs including MSYL was an outstanding mentor who helped the youth in MSYL become great leaders passionate about helping others, but also helped youth in the community through the programs hosted by MSYL.I would highly recommend youth to participate in programs hosted by the youth group MSYL at the Hub, as well as highschool youth to volunteer at MSYL, as it is a welcoming, open, inclusive environment that promotes a growth mindset.

I've only been here once to see an organization that operates an office here. I didn't come here for medical treatment or other services, but I was impressed that this place even exists in a convenient location. For anyone that has had a bad experience here... I think you're missing the point that you're fortunate to have it in the first place. Reading reviews it sounds like there is room for improvement, and more resources / funding... But don't just complain about it. I bet this place helps a lot of people.

The hub is a home away from home for many youth in the community. The Mind and Spirit Youth Leadership program offers many youth tangible skills, and voice to take a stand in issues impacting the community. Youth are empowered here and are given the tools to become change makers and leaders. Mr. Singh and the community engagement team play a vital role in uniting the community with various events such as stand-up comedy night, Mother’s Day events, Tamil-Heritage month event, and many more. The hub is welcoming to all ages. If you feel there isn’t a space for you in the community, the hub will always make space for you.

I hope Scarborough residents avoid this place. Left two voicemails for an urgent matter and three days later no one has called back. The receptionist actually said that everyone is on vacation. What a useless organization when someone is looking for help. I advise people to look for a good family doctor. So disappointing.
