Incredibly grateful to have enjoyed this lovely choir. They have the harmony, charm, and rhythm that make it hard to stay seated. Lovely to enjoy some old soul classics sung beautifully by the very talented people of our community. I highly recommend you check them out!

I’ve been singing with Checo for over 12 years, first in Vancouver and now in Victoria. I love his energy, devotion to sharing the joy of music, and the beautiful community of people he attracts in his choirs. Singing is a joy - but when you get to move and sing at the same time - that’s pure bliss! Our rehearsals and concerts always bring the good vibes!!

Joining the Sweet Soul Choir has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I sing my heart out to songs that are uplifting and energetic. We are very lucky to have the most talented, enthusiastic and fun music director, Checo Tohomaso, who brings out the best in us. We are a five- part harmony group, please come and join us, there’s a place for you here.

Sweet Soul Choir
The first time I saw this choir perform, I knew that I would try it out someday. Fast-forward two years to my first rehearsal with the choir. Someone asked me whether I liked it and would I be joining. Would I be joining??? You bet! These are my people! It has been eight years since I became a member of this amazing, supportive community of people who love singing Motown, soul, R&B and gospel. To top it off, we get to MOVE while we sing, thanks to great moves choreographed by our awesome director. Whether you want to sing with or just be entertained by this choir, it's worth checking out.

Been a member since May 2022. I am an artist, producer & DJ and stumbled upon the choir looking for backing singers for a song I was working on. The people, the energy, Cheeco (our director) and the songs are all positives. Join us or come to our next performance. You'll love it!
