The Salvation Army Thrift Store

This guy came to the store and totally unprovoked started swearing at me. The management of the store did nothing to force him to leave the store! A hostile environment is being tolerated by the manager. Everyone has the right to shop in peace and an abusive behaviour must not be tolerated!

i’ve read the reviews before and was always so confused why people say the customer service is bad because i never had any issue until today. I come here all the time i’ve spent quit a bit of money here. There’s a rack behind the counter with more expensive items and they always had no problem letting me look at the things but today when i asked the bigger lady if i could look at the rack she stared at me for a while and said it’s not aloud but i can do it fast with a judgemental look on her face so i just dropped the items i found and left because they’ve never acted like that about it before. I’m definitely not giving any more money to this location it’s sad cus it’s close to my house and i come alot but the attitude of staff is unacceptable. I saw a man a few minutes prior looking back there as well. Like please actually listen to the hundred of bad reviews and do something about the horrible staff

Great prices on sale days. Staff is always friendly

Called if they were hiring and said they were. Got to the store and hand in my resume said they could probably give me 25 hours a week and will let me know.I call back a few days later and to ask what's up with my resume and a rude lady told me that isn't the case and that she was unsure if they were hiring and told me they'll call me so i said okay.A full week passes and i decide to call and same rude lady answered asking me what don't i understand about we'll call you back.Blocked their number and no longer interested in working there.

The recent reviews of this place do not surprise me. The staff here are extremely condescending, ignorant and plain rude.After examining a pair of jeans I found a large brown stain in the groin area. Upon asking if the pants could possibly be repriced, I was told by a cashier by the name of ‘Priankathi’ or something along the lines of that, I could have 10% off. These pants aren’t even fit for sale. Insulted, I asked if I could speak to the manager this nasty lady said “no you may not.”By chance, the manager walked over and I asked her if she could reconsider. While the manager was looking at the pants the cashier whispered to the manager, and the manager said “you can have 10% off.”Priankathi smiled and was terrible the rest of the transaction.horrible!

Just saw a delaminating blood stained jacket for $50 and I was wearing the exact same but clean and I paid $35 for it, upon mention she laughed and moved it to the showcase items. Pure greed.

Bot very great selection service is really slow

I went on a shopping spree and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. In fact, I am going again very soon.Great selection, great prices, clean organized and well stocked store. Friendly and fast service at the check-out.

Great selection, prices are consistent with the thrift market. Seniors day is every day with a 10% discount. Lots of interesting treasures, and with a keen eye, you will leave with something that will make your visit worth it.

I went to Salvation aArmy Thrift Store in Newton Surrey next to Newton Recreation Centre and I tell you one of the female employees was rude to me had bad customer service skills and accused me of something I did not do and judged me by my appearanceI am not impressed
