Love slipping in for some decadent ice cream, the produce always looks great, and they always have my dogs favorite things. Great selection of meats, and love the bulk section, for nuts and baking extras.

Two indigenous girls helped us sign up for the points card. We are hard of hearing and they were so polite and let us type our email out ourselves to make things easier. Very nice staff. Clean building.

Nice shopping for foods and more! They were very well stocked from what I saw and had a great selection of different things spices and more! Hopefully in the future I will be visiting Save on Foods more! Beautiful community with very friendly people. I was very satisfied with all the groceries that I purchased for my lovely stay in the area. As well as the different spices that I actually could not find back in Ontario even that I bought to take back home with me. I was surprised at the size of this grocery store given the location! Cannot wait to become a part of the community and will be using Save On Foods for my families grocery needs while there! Truly a great grocery store for all of your needs! However I did find their pet food selection to be small so to obtain those items unless they begin to bring in more of a variety I will sadly need to go elsewhere. But otherwise everything looked great! Thank you for treating me like one of your own during my stay!

Small townGrocery storeNo deli, but they had cold cuts pre packaged. The produce section was just as stocked as the bigger stores in cities just less of each product.I was pleasantly surprised on how friendly the staff and patrons were while I visited, such a lovely town.

Pretty good place for shopping, definitely under staffed, had a line up today down an isle with 2 tills open. Found it cheaper than going to wholesale lol. Friendly people tho!

I was most disappointed. I'm in Burns Lake working for several weeks. Long hrs. Only thing open when I'm done is Save on Foods. I had asked a worker there what they do with the extra rotisserie chickens. She told me they all sell out by 5pm. But I could phone and ask to hold one in the warmer for me. That was great. A couple days later I phoned and was told they would hold one in the warmer for me. Fantastic. Or so I thought. When I went to pick it up around 7pm the teller looked at me oddly and ask me twice. When the young lady brought out my chicken she told me I had to warm it up. They sell all their chicken by 5pm. She gets off at 8 and she has to cool the ovens. I felt like it was quite the inconvenience for her. Curious, if you're selling out by 5pm why aren't you making more. Many people eat after 5pm. In all the other Save on Foods if there was leftovers they would sell them by 1/2 or 1/4 in the deli section the next day. I'm here for 6-8 weeks. I eat a lot of chicken and would have bought at least 2 if not 3 chickens a week. That is 12- 16 chickens at least in lost sales.

The staff are always helpful except for the manager. He seems to have problems with any observations made by shoppers. For example, my husband was buying milk when the cashier pointed out that it expired in 2 days. When the manager was approached asking for a reduction in price, he was extremely rude. My husband, age 87, will not shop in the Burns Lake store again!
