Hellamaid Cleaning Services

I have used this service for over a year. I had asked for hopefully the same cleaner in my home. I had a rotating door of cleaners and over the last few months, never knew who would show up-if anyone. On November 22, I was informed last minute no one was coming. I called and asked if someone was going to come and was told they would call back. No one did. I followed up again. No response. After 1.5 weeks, I never received any communication and was left rushing to find a new cleaning company as I followed up the third time and was told “that my job wasn’t picked up” in the system.I have a small townhome and it’s two ladies and that’s it. As someone who is caring for a sick parent and child I was absolutely floored that I had to follow up so many times and I am deeply disappointed to receive a note by text - not even a courtesy call back.I am disappointed to be treated like this and left hanging so many times with no care-just told they can’t do the job for Niagara.

The cleaner did a very good job. There was a tiny issue with locking the door behind her, however both the cleaner and the company reached out to me which I greatly appreciated. Can't wait for my next service

I have used other cleaning companies but they didn't compare to Hellamaid. I found them very reasonable priced and did a great job of cleaning. Will continue to use them.

We were sent one less cleaner than promised. One of them was in training. For a deep clean you must remove everything as they won’t even pick up a mat to sweep or mop under it. I expected fan blades to be dusted and dusting underneath knick knacks (they won’t move or pick up anything), cleaning around door knobs, and small scuffs on wall. Nope. One toilet was left dirty. None of the mirrors were cleaned. None. We paid extra for a fridge clean. We emptied the fridge and they didn’t even clean the bins. They didn’t wipe down one counter in the kitchen, or my desk top. As a disabled person doing all this work for a deep clean was very hard. I expected a lot more. My spouse son and I worked hard to prepare for this deep clean where they wouldn’t even lift a mat or a knick knack and they didn’t even clean well what they said they would. They didn’t even sweep or mop the entry. Worst $450 ever spent.

We had booked Hellamaid on April 11th for a Move-in Cleaning on May 27th. I received notice yesterday, on May 18th - a week before our confirmed cleaning date - that they had rescheduled to May 26th at 11am. We only take possession of the house on May 26th so this last minute reschedule does not work for us. This only leaves us with a week to find another cleaning service that can meet our timelines as we have movers lined up for May 28th. Im very disappointed in Hellamaid as they are rated as one of the top cleaning services in Guelph. They did respond back with explanation for the last minute change, but this is an added stress during an already stressful time of buying/selling a house and moving that was planned well in advance and now has left us scrambling at the last minute.

I booked Hellamaid's Renovation package last week and they did a great job! The cleaners were friendly and professional. I did go over on time (package has a cap # of hours), and so I paid the hourly rate on top. So my only suggestion would be to add another level on their booking questionnaire, for example: would you say your home is very clean, average, below average, etc. Maybe it would help, maybe not.Either way, I was so happy with their service I tried to hire them for a job in Markham for my family but they haven't extended service there yet.Will be re-hiring for routine service.

Hellamaid cleaning services did a fantastic job of doing a deep clean of my home. They were thorough with their work and friendly, always had a smile while they were working. Some of the stains were hard to remove but they persisted. End result was amazing. Highly recommend them to anyone.
