Lac des Roches Resort

We booked 2 nights in Sept 2022 in lakeside cabin #3. The cabin condition was extremelypoor; no soap, no shampoo, hairs on bed, smelly blankets, dirty old sofa, spider webs,moths at windows, ceiling, and cockroaches in corners.... etc. There were no basicbathroom facilities provided like soap and shampoo. All cooking wares were old & dirty. Curtains fell down when pull. Bath/washroom was extremely tiny that can hardly move around. The whole resort is generally ageing, primitive & lack of maintenance. We were forced to sleep with our clothes and jackets on as it was already dark and too late to move out. We left early next morning though we had paid for 2 nights total $300+.(This resort is higher overpriced)We want others to share our bad experience with this resort. Please do not be fooled by their beautiful lake-view photos. The lake is beautiful but go and look for other resorts nearly.......)

We're here now! In the middle of October it is gorgeous. We rented a canoe and went out on the water. It is so gorgeous. We'll be having a campfire tonight. It's so peaceful and they have everything a person would need. The cabin is nicely laid our so the bedroom is in the quietest part and the living room faces the water. I already want to come back again!

The owners are very laid back helpful. While I didn't need anything, I had the sense they would make sure they would take care of me If did. I was very pleasantly surprised ... for an old school rustic cabin that the bed and the bed sheets were GREAT.

We just had our family reunion here. It worked out so well. Super friendly staff. Very accommodating through the whole process. The cabins are rustic but perfect for what we needed. Warm shower, clean beds, and a usable kitchen. A simple open of the front door to the beach. We were concerned about the noise from the road but it wasn’t an issue at all!! It was perfect!! Thanks Kyla and everyone from the resort!! We will be back!!

I LOVED my stay here! When booking, I thought this was just going to be an overnight sleep before I continued the road however it was so much more than that. It is such a nice, beautiful and clean lake front property at such an affordable price. The lake is super warm and they offer boat rentals. You can also borrow DVD’s and games from the office for free. The staff here are super accommodating and friendly as well! It’s such a cute, peaceful and quaint place to go to unwind and relax. I’m already planning my next stay back :)

Amazing stay! A beautiful lake, with cabins and camping. We camped the first night right near the water, and rented a cabin the second night. The staff were great! Super friendly and down to earth people that were super accommodating. Fully equipped kitchen in the cabin was great to have. Boat rentals on site, as well as tips for the best fishing spots are an added plus. Thanks again! Ps, adorable kittens that hang around are an added bonus.

Such a nice, beautiful and clean lake with cabins and camping. But unfortunately, we stayed 1-night only and moreover reached at late night & missed the beauty of afternoon & sunset. It’s a great place with perfect wooden cabin, warm shower, clean beds and a kitchen. They also have nice fishing spot, as well as boat rentals are an added plus. The staff here are friendly, well mannered. Thanks everyone from the resort...

We were staying nearby and organized a canoe rental to take the kids out fishing on the lake. Immediately we were impressed by how beautiful the area and the lodge is. The main lodge at the resort had a great play area for children that my little ones loved while the older ones were out on the lake. Laura the host was so welcoming and kind to our family. We really appreciated her generosity and hospitality!Out on the lake we saw loons and eagles hunting, and had a great time exploring. We could easily have spent a whole trip enjoying the resort and being out on the lake. Would love to go back and stay there longer - highly recommend especially if you love the water and fishing.

It was really great especially for the price, cheapest in the area. Definitely don't expect a top notch Hilton quality, if you're expecting a 5 star hotel then rent a place that has the cost of a 5 star hotel. Right on a lake with all the basic amenities. Rustic family cabin feeling. Really nice owners, very willing to help. Beautiful property. Will definitely come again!

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night for a place to rest. The lake was started to frost and it looked magical. We checked in with Laura who was the owner of the property. She was Italian and we told her that we were planning to go there for our honeymoon and he eyes lit up and provided us valuable info! She was so friendly and we ended up chatting for so long.The cabin was rustic and it met all your basic needs. It was clean and it was what you would expect from a cabin. I was reading the previous review, and I thought... it's a cabin. What do people expect!? It's not the Four Seasons - it's a cabin right on the lake!When checked out we had a cappuccino with Laura and Joe and just enjoyed the view of the lake from their kitchen counter. We ended up seeing a family of deer walking through.You can tell it's a family run business as the room was filled with love. I can't wait to come back during Summer!
