Paragon Testing Enterprises - CELPIP and CAEL

If you have a choice, do NOT take CAEL exam. Take IELTS or Toefl. the content of the exam and the topics of the readings and listening do not actually evaluate your language level. They are very strange topics and unless you have studies in that specific area, even if you are native, the chance of scoring high is low. This is a very sub-standard test which, regardless of your English level, drains your pockets!Even worse is that they have very rude and inhumane staff in online exam. My wife was in the middle of listening module and since she was sitting on the chair with one leg under her, she did a slight move to remove her leg. the staff interrupted her while the listening recording was in progress and asked her to show her around the room with the cam. My wife told her that she is in the middle of listening and she just moved one of her legs but the inhumane staff insisted that she shows her around which took about 2-3 minutes of her time while the test was in progress. My wife total missed that part because of that staff. The staff did not have any basis for this request and even did not offer to pause the exam. similar incident happened during the speaking module and she also missed part of the speaking. Seems the staff do not have any humanity and don't understand that the body needs some stretching when sitting for 3-4 hrs. The staff are rude and very aggressive. they don't care that people have put efforts and hard earning money to prepare and take this exam. They treat you like criminals, thieves and by default cheaters. very ugly behaviour. shame on them

Not even worth half a starStay away from this place!!!!I booked an english test for my citizenship application.Showed up for my test 15 min before the test, door was locked and no entry was granted. They put a passive aggressive note on the door “you should call customer service, and you are not getting a refund”I’m in a process of filing a collective lawsuit against them please who ever read my review,replay and we can file it together.

My name is Murilo, registration number 300777734, and I am fully disappointed with CELPIP and mainly the Paragon Testing Enterprises Vancouver.I`ve had booked a test for October 8th at 1:45PM and had flew all the way from Yellowknife (NT) to Vancouver (BC) in order to do the test. However, even reaching the test center at 1:30 - instruction made is very clear that we should be there until 1:30 and I was there at 1:30 - there was no one at the door and the door was locked, as a result, I couldn`t take the test.At the door I met other 2 people with the same situation, who had also reached the test center at 1:30 but there was no one at the door, resulting in us all not being able to take the test.We all tried to be a bit earlier than 1:30, but the building wasn`t accessible, there was no signs, security wasn`t helpful and the most disrespectful, there was no one from CELPIP at the door. I had to fly all the way from Yellowknife to Vancouver, Maria has a knew injury and had difficulty to access the building and Max had to park his vehicle very far away, because there is no parking close by.The CELPIP employee made us wait 30 minutes, even with us trying to call and knocking the door, to come tell us at 2PM that they were sorry and there was nothing they could do. Where is the respect for our time and money? I flew from Yellowknife to Vancouver to do the test and I will fly back without doing the test. Definitely will recommend people to do the TOEFL or IELTS but NEVER CELPIP. I have never felt so disrespectful in my life.We spoke with Edwin Yong, that works the Paragon Testing Enterprises Vancouver, that guarantee us that he would include our histories in our test report. I filmed him and us and we have proof of everything include on this email/review.You should be more respectful with the people who had trusted you to take their test!The least I`m waiting for is a refund, knowing that it will not cover my flight and the most important, my time.

My was booked for January 22 2022 and really I arrived 15 minutes before and the door was close, for making worse I wasn't the only one, el Phone number the use for costumer service take forever for answer and they just say it, is my fault for be late, if you want to take the test you must book and pay again. That's completely unfair I will submit my complaint to bc

I am writing to express my disappointment with the CELPIP-General LS exam I was supposed to take on April 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM. As an international student who traveled all the way from Taiwan to take this exam, I was highly disappointed with the unprofessionalism displayed by your testing center.On the day of the exam, I arrived at the testing location 15 minutes before the scheduled time only to find the door locked and no one present at the testing center. I even sought assistance from the security personnel, but they refused to help me and did not provide any contact information for the people at the CELPIP building.I am extremely disappointed with the lack of assistance and the unprofessional behavior displayed by your staff. Moreover, I discovered that I am not the only one who has faced such an issue in the past, and this level of incompetence is unacceptable for an international exam.As a result, I have left a comment on Google to let other taskers know about my experience and to be cautious when selecting a testing organization. I would like to request a refund for the exam fee and to reschedule my exam at a later date.I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this matter.

I asked for a refund because I don’t need it anymore. However, they just refund 50% what a joke, I’m really disappointed with CELPIP next time I’ll do IELTS for sure.

We had a shocking experience with paragon Testing enterprises , there is no flexibility offered if you need to reschedule a test or get a refund. Their refund policy states that you need to cancel 7-9 days in advance to to just receive 50% refund but you are also able to book your test for 1-2 days ahead? It makes absolutely no sense , and after talking to customer service and also hearing about other people's experiences with this company we really felt this place is a total scam , with no consideration for people's situations or reasons to cancel, we are out $294 because we were told that there was no way we could be refunded or even rescheduled even with for legitimate reasons. Very disappointing.

Cancel your test arbitrarily and reschedule it without any consent. “Paragon in its discretion may” apply to any “unforeseen circumstances”. Brilliant and keep on working.

Lost 294$! Booked for a test at 10am and was denied entry at 9:47am. Apparently even though your test is booked for a specific time and that is the specified time on the confirmation page, you are expected to be there 45 minutes before the exam starts. In this situation, a choice to re-schedule was denied as well.
