Sammy Long Acupuncture

Sammy is a wonderful acupuncturist. I have been seeing her for several months for a number of ailments and I always leave feeling better. Her work has improved my overall quality of life. Sammy takes a holistic, caring and gentle approach to her work and really takes the time to connect with her clients and help them move towards their health goals. Not only is she incredibly skilled in her treatments but she does an amazing job at creating a sanctuary in her practice: a safe and nurturing space where I feel comfortable resting my body and mind. I feel so grateful that my friend recommended I see Sammy, I can't imagine seeing anyone else!

Where to begin? Sammy is fantastic. I came to her for treatment for my post traumatic stress disorder and insomnia. Sammy has been so committed to my healing journey, offering support for all different challenges I experience. She regularly keeps me updated on what she is doing during treatments and why she is doing that, allowing me to be an active partner in the process, instead of a recipient. Sammy is incredibly good at what she does. My 11-year-old daughter, N, was dealing with serious insomnia, we had tried everything that had been suggested and nothing was working. I thought that acupuncture may help but I wasn’t sure if N would be able to go through with it, she is petrified of needles —just the thought sends her into a panic!I let Sammy know that N was *very* scared of needles and she went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable. Sammy was patient and gentle, she was hilarious and made the appointment fun. She did everything she possibly could to help N get a sense of just how gentle the treatment would be. N ended up feeling comfortable enough to consent to the treatment, I still can’t believe it!My girl overcame her fear and what’s even more amazing, the treatment worked! After a year of trying everything under the sun with no success, just two sessions with Sammy had my daughter sleeping peacefully again. It has now been about 6 months and my daughter still sleeps peacefully every night.Sammy, I cannot thank you enough for helping my daughter, you are amazing.
