Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Edmonton - Castle Downs

I have been a kumon student for a long time and they have helped me greatly with my basic operations and mental math skills which was something I struggled with for a long time. They have helped me to stay ahead at school while also preparing me for future math curriculum!

Both my kids are now getting A's in math. Thank you Kumon!

Honestly, I've been at this place for around 3 months a few years back. I was a GRADE 7 student and they started me in level B. And I was a GRADE 7 student. Some of the staff were really rude and racist to me because I wore the hijab. Overall, I didn't learn much from kumon but it kind of helped me with my mental math, like basic arithmetic multiplication. The staff weren't properly trained. They also laughed at me because of my appearance. Maybe, Kumon, to make this a better place for everyone, please try making your staff better. In my opinion, wasting so many trees for booklets isn't the right thing to do. I think that Kumon is better for memorization but for basic school skills, it really isn't. It would be way better to get a private tutor especially they are more cheaper rather than kumon. You should also help the kids more because whenever i didn't understand a question I wouldnt get a proper meaning for it i would just get the answer. Honestly, my opinion may be different from what you experienced.

Our daughter's experience of Kumon has been amazing. She was just accepted into the High School of our choice! An excellent achievement. Something we could not have dreamt of prior to her attending Kumon. Thanks so so much Evan! You are changing lives and doing wonderful work. Enroling her in your Math program was the best decision ever! Your patience and dedication is an example to all! You follow up constantly and explain processes with precision. This is a great place for children to learn English and math. This place is reliable they are honest and help the children very good. My son was struggling in school but know that his been in Kumon for several years his doing much better.

Best investment made for my child’s future!! Mr. Evan and his team have been extremely helpful with teaching my girls everything and they are learning 3 grades above their current grade. Kumon and the Castledowns centre has been an integral part of both my kids lives since the age of 5. I can’t say enough good things about having taken the step to put them into Kumon and the confidence it has created in both children. Kumon originally was intended to help my kids academically. It ultimately was so much more. Kumon and their method of teaching gave our kids confidence, discipline, independence and high self esteem. The instructors and Evan care deeply about each student. They spend the time to help them overcome hurdles. They are so patient and are able to communicate so well to each student. I’m blessed to have found them early on. Both my kids have gone through reading and math with this Kumon site and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. Even through Covid, Kumon was still a constant in our lives - giving our kids continued routine and stability. Thanks Evan!
