The House of Actors lives up to its name, because it truly is a home where actors feel at home. They promote growth, hard work and dedication and push you to become the best version of yourself in a very safe and positive learning environment. HOA is not just an acting school, it is a place where you find an acting family and community.

I would not be the artist I am today if it weren't for House of Actors. I came into this school back in 2017 (at the beginning of my acting career) wanting to learn what it meant to be an actor and, through hard work and dedication, HOA turned out to be the perfect place for that.I was immediately pushed out of my comfort zone and was challenged in ways that prepared me perfectly for the real industry.There is so much I take away from HOA that I apply to my daily routine and work ethic that I am not sure who I'd be today if I hadn't come across this acting school.Thank you to the incredibly hardworking Vanessa Lynn Rancourt who is truly the best in Montreal!

A true gem. The 3 month intensive full time program is a must for any actor who’s looking for training that’ll push them. The schedule is carefully tailored so that that each course compliments the other. There’s an excellent range of courses. From technique to meditation to combat classes and so many more, each course will make you discover something about yourself and help you understand balance in this industry. Also, the teachers are excellent. They each have a rich background and are passionate about their work which only fuels you to work harder. They truly want the best for each student. They will challenge and test you to keep you on your feet and push you further in your learning. There’s no room to stay in your comfort zone which is great because you’ll come out of this program prepared for all kinds of challenges. You also build beautiful, genuine connections with both the teachers and students because of the intensity of the program. You will have some of the most vulnerable moments without feeling vulnerable because everyone is there to support you and help you grow. From the moment they didn’t want to give the program virtually during the pandemic, I knew that HOA didn’t want to compromise their student’s experience. They didn’t want to settle and wanted to ensure that they gave each student the full experience they deserved. Before the program, I kept hesitating about where to train, whether I should study abroad or not, but this hidden gem truly competes with 2-3 year programs. I look forward to taking their other courses!!

House of actors is filled with creative individuals that support and lift each other to succeed. Especially Vanessa! She is not only knowledgeable in her craft, but her empathy, talent, and desire to bring out the best in others makes her one of the best acting teachers I’ve ever had! Such a privilege to work with her. The skills she helps develop are significant in acting, in relationships, and within ourselves. Strongly recommend HOA!

This studio has some of the best acting classes in Montreal. It is well merged in the show business and prepares its students for the professional world of acting. The Saturday morning workshop is such an inspiring class, it gives me my weekly dose of adrenaline for the whole week. I can't recommend it enough. Great teachers, great students and great energy. Everybody is so motivating and supportive.

I've studied acting at House of Actors for many years now, and this place is unique. The dedication, the passion, the work ethic. These are the things you are taught every class and you'll learn to master tools to keep pushing in your every day life!
