Wow! What an unreal experience! Wife picked this place out because of the chef's choice options, and what options there were. Multi course dinner with wine pairing options. We both loved everything we tried. The menu itself looked pretty extensive, so we will definitely be back to try more. Also had some delicious cocktails prior to our dinner, including an old fashioned made from whiskey made specifically for them. Very good experience!Service was chill but friendly, informative, and exactly what the vibe of the place needs.Wind Cries Mary, I cry delicious

Heard a lot of great stuff about this place and was super excited to try it, but was pretty disappointed. We got the mushroom gnocchi dish, fried chicken, curried tuna, and all three of the dessert offerings. Mushroom pasta dish was probably the most disappointing, really lacking flavor, but the texture was perfect. Fried chicken was great on top but was set atop a very thin sauce that made the bottom of the chicken really soggy. Curried tuna was perfectly cooked but again, lacking in flavor and begging for salt. The three desserts were a real let down. One of which was plain cookies (I would be willing to bet they were tollhouse). Chocolate torte was crying for some flake salt. And the third dessert was really dry and unremarkable. All thing considered, the line cooks are doing a good job, but the menu isn’t worth the price at all. Would save your money and go to stage.

Great concept with some perfectly executed dishes! Personally felt the portions were a little small for a family style meal, but that gives a great excuse to try more items off the menu!Highly recommend the seafood dishes, especially if you're new to Victoria!

Nothing to cry about here! Really enjoyed my first (but not last) time at wind cries mary. Sat at the bar with a friend for some share plates & cocktails - loved the vibe and most of the dishes.

Among other things (which were decent) we ordered the 16oz rib-eye" steak. What we got was neither 16oz nor a rib-eye. At $75 for the single dish

This quiet but trendy restaurant tucked downstairs in a brick building had wine racks everywhere and twinkly candles . The menu was “tasting style” meaning easy to share the plate , and the food was very tasty. Everything was totally fresh and delicious

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. So many interesting choices, both food and cocktails.Very highly recommend the chef's choice to be able and experience all the best they have to offer!

The food here is edible at best, it’s a mish mash of comfort foods and west coast fare. The best tasting thing of the 4 items we ordered was the duck breast because it was the only thing that had a balanced flavour profile. The dishes are almost there but not quite reaching the point and at this price point it leaves me wanting more and expecting better. The plating is lacking, and the portion size is laughable for items $16, I can't believe I'm seeing this in a restaurant because it looks like someone threw the food down on to a plate/bowl and proceeded to serve them to customers. The other items were drenched in Parmesan cheese or oil despite them being the dishes the restaurant is known for. The service, ambiance, drinks were great but the food was not worth (taste, plating, pricing). Is it casual? Is it upscale? Is it experimental? I’m not sure.Low key want my money back…

Booked a large group event and everything was absolutely perfect. Shayla was so helpful and accommodating with planning the group booking and set menu. Food allergies were handled with care and attention, the service at the restaurant was impeccable and the food & cocktails were amazing! We’ll definitely be back again!
