About the Business
Bedford Basin Yacht Club - Home | Bedford Basin Yacht Club was established in 1953 at the head of the Bedford Basin in Bedford. At the time it was a cottage community on the outskirts of Halifax. The cold fog that often envelopes Halifax Harbour seldom makes its way all the way up the Basin hence, the location has earned the nick names as Sunnyside and Summer Cove.

Great little yacht club sheltered at the end of the Bedford basin. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for with personality. And Chris the yard maneger has knowledge so far beyond his age and personality to match, great guy to help with your needs.

Came for an event but didn't get to sail. Building is unique, location is breathtaking, and staff will bend over backwards to make comfortable.

Signed up for the Cansail dinghy sailing class here and had the first class on Tuesday...it was a blast and I'm looking forward to tonight's class! Very reasonable cost for what you get... definitely recommend it!
