The Home Depot

Went in to buy a big toolbox that was in the flyer. They had lots in stock, unfortunately the color I wanted was not on display so I asked a tool department employee where they were. The employee was quick to check his computer and said they must be on a top shelf so we went on a quest through the store until. We spotted them up high on a top shelf. The person helping me said to give him a few minutes to get it down and take it to the front counter which he did as quick as could be expected considering the logistics of getting a 180lb item down. I paid at the contractor desk and the gentleman there arranged for someone to help load it in my vehicle. All in this was a very positive experience, the staff were friendly and helpful and the item I wanted was in stock.

Went to the store for something else but stopped to look at the barbecues. A Weber we had been considering was on display and showed that it was on sale for approximately $75 less than normal. They also have free assembly for units over $296. The floor staff were only able to determine that there was none left in stock. The website had it for the full price still. So we went to customer service to get some assistance. Maya provided great customer service. She was jumping through all the hoops to try to find a solution where we would get it at the price posted on the floor and the free assembly. Her supervisor, Shauna, was lingering in the background and appeared to be whispering about Maya to the other staff. Maya got approval to give us the reduced price from a floor manager, David. Shauna came over a few times to tell Maya how she couldn’t help us because there were none in stock. She provided no solutions and is the reason for them getting four stars instead of five. All of a sudden Joseph appeared and offered a solution that worked. We have a barbecue ordered (to be assembled) on its way to the store at the price listed on the floor. Joseph and Maya know what customer service is all about.

Ernest was very knowledgeable, dedicated, willing to help above and beyond. I felt a friend was helping me, not an associate in the plumbing department. I had to find and put some parts together but I couldn't find what I needed directly on the shelf. My little project was quite complicated, and the parts I needed were not a quick in and out purchase. Ernest was helping me to put the puzzle together and finding the right combination of parts. I was very satisfied walking out of the store with what I needed to complete my project.Ernest deserves beyond 5 stars.

Don't bother trying to reserve equipment here. The reservation is good for absolutely nothing. They notified by e-mail the night before that the reservation is cancelled because they gave the truck to someone else. I tried explaining what a reservation means, but they don't understand.

Just went to Home Depot to grab some items to paint my new place and all the staff at the Port Coquitlam location are so kind and so helpful. Every staff member I walked past asked if I wanted a hand finding anything or just simply said good morning with a big smile. They had all the products I needed at a good price. It’s the small things that make a big difference sometimes

Awesome toy shop for guys like me fascinated with Bob the Builder. The people that work there (almost all) are awesome too. Shout out to Steve the older chap in Hardware who helped me out last night. I was in the process of returning a Ridgid brushless 6.5inch circular saw which I picked up open box and therefore discounted. I had spent hours trying to figure out why it was cutting a fraction to the right of the line-of-sight forcing me to correct by cutting to the right of my target line and the target line therefore not visible in the base notch but under the base. Long story short, Steve could not believe it either (its a Ridgid). He first asked about the blade washer and nut, we took it apart and he was somehow able to identify something was not right?? Then he and the CS lady swopped it for a new one at no extra cost inspite of my original purchase being open box and cheaper. Such awesome service. I trundled off home and straight away bolted a blade to the tool and checked the line-of-sight....SPOT-ON-beautiful...Cut a few lines... PERFECTION...----- Thank you Steve and CS lady ----n

The customer service is just awesome. Nikkihill and his coworker were very helpful and spent more than 15 mins to solve my problems. They could just tell me, there’s nothing they can doTo be honest, I don’t expect the staffs would have so much patience to help customers in a retain chainDefinitely recommend this store

They know how to TAKE a reservation they just don't know how to HOLD a reservation. Don't book your rental vehicle here and risk getting cancelled last minute for no reason other than someone else came along and you might not show up! I mean honestly that's the point of RESERVING!Do better Home Depot!

Difficult finding knowledgeable, helpful customer service associates.Truly is a do it all yourself retailer.Revisited this location June 21st to purchase 3 Cedar hedges for delivery. 1 hour and 35 minutes later with Customer Service a difficult /challenging conversation. I was schooled on Home Depot interdepartment systems and procedures. OMG!Let's find out if delivery is any better, for live plants ..BBB next stop.NO DELIVERY.Waste of time ,and fuel.Review submitted to Better Business Bureau
