We needed to refresh an old Akurum IKEA kitchen in a rental suite. The doors and drawers came predrilled and in 2 hours we had a complete beautiful new look in this kitchen. Could not have been easier! Tenants love the new look, and we didn't have to inconvenience them more than the time it took for them to go out for lunch:) Worth every penny - so glad we found SwitchDoor!

We used Switchdoor for a customized IKEA kitchen and was impressed with the quality of the panels and the excellent design advice received from Robert. The panel finish is very high quality, and they will last for many years. As the kitchen design process can take many iterations, I would advise customers to maintain a spreadsheet of all items, and confirm this with the SD team, so there are no surprises from either side. All in all, highly recommended.

We had a great experience working with Robert at SwitchDoor. Such a great idea of taking the IKEA bones and making something special. We had a tight space, and Robert was able to make a couple custom-sized cabinet boxes in addition to the custom doors so we could get the layout just right. The selection of finishes was great—Robert sourced some options not on the website, if I recall—and the results speak for themselves. We got a beautiful custom kitchen for a lot less.

Working with Robert at SwitchDoor was a pleasure. He was the first to respond to us after we had reached out to a few businesses looking for custom doors for a new IKEA kitchen we were designing. Robert provided us with lots of great advice as he knows a ton about kitchen design. SwitchDoor has good relationships with other kitchen suppliers (hardware, appliances, countertops) and has plenty of choices of cabinet door styles, materials and colours.Most importantly, we are very happy with the end result.

We ordered replacement pieces for the Godmorgon vanity from Switchdoor for our half bath and were very pleased with the product. When we renovated our master bath, I reached out again but they took at least 4 days to reply and that was after I had followed up. I also found their pricing had gone up and was at least $400 more than Kitch. So we ordered with Kitch, which had excellent customer service and a great quality product. Unfortunately, Kitch no longer sells the natural oak veneer so for our main bath I reached out to Switchdoor once again. The customer service to start was okay. We placed and paid for our order on May 27th and received it on July 29th. When we received it, it came with many quality issues (see photo). These issues are on almost all the pieces (note: we did not have these issues the first time we ordered with them so I do not believe this is just how these pieces are). I reached out on the day our order was received about these issues and did not receive a response. I WOULD NOT order with Switchdoor again.

I am very pleased to write a review for Switchdoor and in particular Robert and Ryan.The project consisted of fully renovating 2 kitchens (main floor and garden suite) from cabinets to new appliances, new counters, adding a larger island and more storage throughout. The base is an older traditional home, in which we wanted to add some modern elements before putting it up for sale.Robert and Ryan were super helpful and very efficient in helping us achieve this objective.The main floor kitchen became the most beautiful part of the home. Robert was excellent at advising on design/style and Ryan was amazing with spontaneous calls and emails updating us on delivery and installation. Everything was very well coordinated. The whole project was delivered before expectation! This was perfect as it did add some pressure on the general contractor which is exactly what we needed at the time ;). We are also pleased to confirm that the project was finished on budget as well, which is of course an essential point.Working with Switchdoor made it that much easier to get the house prepped for sale. The whole process was made easier by working with like-minded professionals to create a feature kitchen and make the house stand out on the market. We had a lovely experience with SwitchDoor! The quarantine DIY project turned out terribly, and they were more than understanding and worked well with us in the time frame and scope of project given. Robert had wonderful samples on hand, worked with us when the chosen type of top cupboard came in not to our liking, and then went above and beyond in helping us finish the project completely, and under a time constraint. We truly believe the wonderful job and how good they look helped us sell our place, and I'm actually a bit sad I don't get to enjoy these cupboards for longer.

From start to finish, my experience with SwitchDoor was very positive. As a homeowner who loves to refresh my home, I was very interested in what SwitchDoor could offer me to give my reno a custom look without breaking the pocketbook! I was a tad nervous about attempting to pull off this project on my own, but the folks at SwitchDoor were always just an email away to walk me through the process. The quality of the doors I received was very high. Friends and neighbours have been really impressed. Even my handyman, who has great woodworking skills, has told me that my research paid off!
