Visited a handful of times for a Brazilian. First couple experiences were okay. My most recent experience was horrible - I was the last appointment of the day, the appointments are booked for 15 minute time slots. The lady was obviously in a huge rush to do my wax and was finished" in like 5 minutes. I took a look and noticed she missed a decent amount of hair and I had told her - to which she "huffed" under her breath at me. THEN when she went to touch up the spots she missed she was really rough (I mean she was rough at first but even more so the second time). She really dug her fingers around which made me feel very uncomfortable

This place is quick but I do not believe they provide good service. My skin was not prepped at all and I explained that I have very sensitive skin before hand. I originally wanted a Brazilian wax but due to the impatience and not really friendly service I couldnt do the whole thing. I was left with what she called an “extended bikini wax” but I came home and looked up the difference between a bikini and an extended bikini and it is not what I got. I feel taken advantage of since they knew it was my first time. The hair is extremely patchy, goes outside of my bikini line, wax is left all everywhere. I wouldnt even classify this as a bikini wax in the slightest. Halle was my technician and I suggest you do not use this service with her. I called and explained my situation in a calm manner, they were apologetic and offered me store credit or to come back and get it fixed but I do not feel comfortable returning. I ended up just accepting that no reimbursement would be given and hung up the phone in tears. If it is your first time definitely do not go here. I feel so violated and invalidated.

I did a laser hair removal package with Rickie and I absolutely loved it! I am through all my sessions and one touch up (so about a year and half I've been going now) and most the hair is gone, the ones left are so light and soft that they are hardly noticeable. Rickie was awesome, too; she was so professional and worked well with what your wants/needs were throughout the sessions. She is also just such a lovely person and fun to chat with.

Had an appointment with Jessy today and I would highly recommend her for all of your waxing/beauty services. She did a great job at making me feel comfortable during the appointment - and was even able to squeeze in an additional service that I had requested at the last minute. She is truly a gem!

Avoid this place - this is why I stick to private waxers only! places like this do not respect the client. This is a walk in garbage establishment and had I not been desperate because I have a funeral to go to and my usual wax ladies machine broke before my appointment, I would not have step foot in these types of places. I already had a stressful day because of a loss, then I am literally 5 mins late and am told they can’t see me and have only 10 minute slots and have already taken the next person back. Most places at least accommodate 15mins late especially if you’re a walk in “express” location how is there still 5 minutes left to my appointment and you’re already serving someone else before my time is done? As a first time client they should have made some efforts especially when I explained it was an emergency. The problem is they don’t have any real clientele its a revolving door which is why they don’t care about people or helping and building a reliable clientele. Probably would have gotten an infection or something since their intake form kept referring to herpes. Maybe health inspection is needed.

Overall my experience at Waterloo Waxonomy has not been great.For my first two waxes here I saw one practitioner. Both times, they were rude and I got the sense that they thought they were better than me. I got a full leg wax and was unimpressed with the quality both times. There was strips of hair left on my legs and they consistently missed the sides of my knees and ankles. Additionally they did not wax the top third of my inner thigh, an area, that in my experience at least, is removed in a full leg wax. At the end of both appointments they stood behind the front desk lady with their hands on their hips as if to judge if everything was done properly. I felt very uncomfortable with these experiences.For my latest wax I saw a new practitioner, she was friendly and took time to go back and fix areas she had missed. It was a far more pleasant experience.There are a few other disappointing things about this business. I have never been asked if I was happy or given an opportunity to check over work. My appointments have always ended abruptly with a ‘you’re done’. Additionally, I called in to see if other wax options were available as whatever products that are used here make my legs very itchy, I was told no. It is disappointing that they do not have more options to cater to their clientele.In summary, the staff are hit and miss and there seems to be a lack of customer first culture in the workplace. I think I will be looking for other options in the area depending on how my next wax goes.

I got a Brazilian done by Jessy and she was awesome!! it was my first time getting waxed in general and she talked me through it quickly and so nicely, everyone that i talked to was super friendly and nice, gave me lots of information about the after care and about waxing in general. They have very good pricing and do a wonderful job, I will be recommending this place to anyone that needs a wax!

I’ve come here a few times and seen a couple of different aestheticians including Jessy, Halle and Dina. All three made me very comfortable, did a great & thorough job…plus it was quick which makes it all the better. Would recommend hard wax or half&half if you have sensitive skin!

It was a quick, efficient and affordable service. The salon was very clean and well kept. My technician, Jessy was a total pro and I'd highly recommend her.

I went to Waxonomy at the end of april and got my arms, legs, brazilian and underarms done. The staff was friendly and quick to bring me in. However, the service itself was not great. A lot of skin had been ripped in the process of getting waxed and now i have large scars on my arms and legs. I was hoping it would have faded by now but unfortunately it hasnt so I decided to write this review. The staff is nice but not worth the bodily scars. Go at your own risk.
