Buglers Dining Room and Lounge
In a woeful restaurant, I took my chance, Overcooked steak, a disappointing dance. Hours dragged on, no food in sight, No drink arrived, left parched in the night.Outside, a stench of sewage hung, A warning to all, this place among. With bitter words, my review I sow, To spare others from this dreadful show.

Buglers Dining Room and Lounge
Buglers is a nice, casual dining room at the Elkwater Lodge and Resort. It has new owners ( late 2022)and we met them. They are very nice and friendly. We had a lovely meal consisting of butter chicken and shared a huge portion of sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The food was very good and the service was quite good. We try to support all the local businesses in Elkwater and do understand the difficulties facing the hospitality industry in terms of staffing and costs.

Buglers Dining Room and Lounge
Very much a let down for $130. The only positive was the Pasta Primavera that tasted ok but was cold. The ribs were terrible and definitely microwaved frozen. The wings and dry ribs were so over cooked that is was painful to eat. The kids hamburger could not be eaten by little kids teeth. Will never come back and would never recommend. Worst food ever !!!

I don’t normally run to the internet to complain about a poor experience but I would recommend you look elsewhere in Elkwater. There aren’t many options here, but I have to imagine there is a better one.To be fair it looked like a busy night but our main complaint was the speed of service. We waited about 15 minutes before being offered a menu or waters. The only reason we did is because I went up to get a menu myself. Another 15 minutes or so before our server came. We ordered 2 cocktails and 4 meals. The drinks were actually pretty good, but took over 30 minutes from when we ordered to get to us. The food took over an hour. It wasn’t worth the wait. Our kids each had pasta and my wife and I had burgers. The “white pasta” is pretty terrible, I think it was a powdered product that was mixed with water. The red sauce was ok. The burgers weren’t anything special. Over cooked and doused in bbq sauce. French fries were ok.We finished our waters and cocktails early on and no one ever came to offer a second round or top up the waters.We paid about $25 for each entree.I realize we’re in a small town but this place could really use some better management. The bathrooms were not clean, atmosphere is lousy, our server just wiped the table off with her hand as opposed to a cloth, the servers and cook didn’t seem to be too invested in providing a good experience.All small things I know but added together it was a bad experience.

Delicious food and friendly staff. They mentioned that the restaurant is under new management and by summer they are bringing lots of changes to the restaurant. Highly recommended if you’re around Elkwater area. Great food great value.

The dining experience less then impressive right from the service to the quality of the food. The menu has very little choice, and prices are high for what they do offer.I opted for the special which was fish and chips. It was obvious by the amount of grease and water on my plate that the fish had not been patted dry before being battered and cooked and was very soggy inside with a hard batter. My wife had the coconut shrimp and it was obvious that they were not hand made or fresh, they were simply what you would buy from the freezer section of your local grocery store. She also had the spinach dip, and only received enough pita chips to use for about 1/3 of the portion.The waitress never came over and asked about the quality of the food, or whether we needed any drink refills or anything.I guess our first indication of this place should have been the fact that we were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday at 6:00 pm on what should be prime time in a restaurant. For being in a resort the restaurant also lacks any type of ambiance.Overall a very disappointing customer experience.

Worst experience I think we have ever had. Food wasn't great but service was appalling. Waitress literally rolled her eyes when we asked for water and we never saw her again once the meals were dropped off. We won't be returning.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here at the lodge, the restaurant is attached and had great service. Food maybe needed a little more character but was delicious regardless. Great presentation on our dessert!

We had high hopes but unfortunately the food was really bad. Our waiter was great and tried really hard but could not make up for the quality of food. We went there for breakfast while staying at the resort. The eggs were cold, the hashbrowns were not cooked at all, and the stale bread they were serving as toast didn't even come buttered. It was also $18/plate. We spoke to other guests who had the same experience. It is a shame since there aren't a lot of options in town for food. The cook needs to be replaced asap, I cannot imagine lunch or dinner if you can screw up breakfast this badly.

Buglers Dining Room and Lounge
We spent 2 days here while cycling for a charitable cause. We were a group of around 25, and they worked to get our food to us. The butter chicken was fabulous! I loved the French toast with strawberry sauce for breakfast. They are located at Elkwater Resort in Cypress Hills.
