B!KE: The Peterborough Community Bike Shop

A fantastic spot to learn more about your bike and you fix it under the watchful eyes of Jean and the rest of the volunteers.You can use new or reconditioned bicycle parts to get yourself back on the road in no time!Worth getting a membership, booking a time and either tune up your bike or get help building new.

Recently I had an amazing experience at the B!ke. Being able to fix your own bike is pretty exciting. Brian and Charlie had to help me through most of it though :). Great people. Very pleasant and helpful. I got to learn quite a lot of new things about how a bike operates. My bike was not that great to start with but it runs quite smoothly now. So thanks guys. Will definitely be going there again.

I had a bike accident just over a year ago that left me unable to bike, work and struggling with a brain injury. I went down to B!ke today and spent 2.5 hours with Charlie learning, fixing and cleaning my bike. I had the most amazing experience there and I would 100% recommend their store to anyone. There is so much emotion tied to this object and when I walked in I was holding back tears and then I couldn't stop talking, the staff made me feel heard and were eager to help me reclaim my bike and my love for biking. They helped and taught me how to fix everything I could ever imagine on my bicycle. They were extremely helpful, kind, understanding, patient and friendly. Thank you so much for helping make this process so easy and fun. I learned so much and ended up loving my ride home and even rode right past the scene of my accident that had brought me into your store in the first place!

Absolutely fantastic staff and they were amazing with my 4 year old. They made sure the bike fit him properly... I can't say enough about this amazing place

A few years ago I spend a couple of weeks straight at B!KE learning how to build a bicycle from spare parts and it's become one of my most treasured memories. The staff and volunteers we so incredibly helpful and didn't mind that I was practically living in the space and always had the time to help me out with any question I had. I haven't been living in Peterborough for the past while but stopped in the other day to buy some used parts and the support I received was exactly the same; warm, kind, and incredibly helpful! Truly an amazing space for anyone looking to learn a new skill or brush up on their existing knowledge, I'm so happy to see this place thriving!

Very helpful, they are a teaching store. Jean was very knowledgeable and takes the time for step by step teaching.

I'm a new biker and today I brought my bike into B!KE to do a tune up. It was a very positive and welcoming space. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable! I learned lot of new terminology and things about my bike. Thank you Riley for your help and patiences. I left B!KE feeling empowered! Thank you!

This is great establishment and in my opinion these kind of shops is a great representation of positive people helping out our community. This isnt just a bike shop, it's so much more... it's a place to gain amazing knowledge on your bikes while making a good friend. I was helped by mark, he was amazing. I was really nervous because I have a trustee who controls all my finances.. and I didnt have the extra funds to cover the cost to fix my bike. Mark was able to work something out with me that was beyond generous, and I'm just greatful how understanding he was given the position I was in and just wanted my bike fixed so I could have transportation... its cool because they dont just fix your bike...but teach you so you know how to do it yourself next time..or can pass the knowledge you learned to someone else.Thanks mark and everyone else at shop.You're a great contribution to this community and very much appreciated.
