Bridge the Gap - Speech and Language Therapy

We have only had three sessions with Shannon so far, and I’m amazed with the results my son is now showing. My son (in grade 3) was behind in reading and writing because of his ADHD and I don’t think Covid helped any. I had put him in other tutoring programs (where parents weren’t involved) and I saw no results when we read together. Shannon’s parent coaching during her sessions helped tremendously. Not only did Shannon teach my son all the rules to reading and writing… I also got to relearn and see how to help on my end when we were at home. Now I have the proper tools to help, my son has the proper tools while at school and our reading together is actually enjoyable… not a fight. She has also given us fun home work to do that helps connect sound with print.I couldn’t say enough good things about Shannon’s Bridge the Gap program. Highly recommend to anyone needing that extra help.

We had a great experience working with Shannon. She made my daughter feel comfortable, and helped build her confidence with her reading. My daughter has dyslexia. The skills and tools she learned from Shannon helped her get to where she needs to be in her reading. I also learned how best to help and support my daughter on her learning journey. I appreciate that Shannon encourages parents to be a big part of her students learning. She has equipped me with tools to further our daughters speech at home.
