Eric is kind and understanding and extremely knowledgable AND above all else, he takes care of his clientel. So lucky to have been recommended Silver Automotive a few years ago. On my first visit to Silver Jeremy helped me out. He is incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and made me feel really comfortable knowing my car was in good hands.

Eric and Jeremy were fantastic. My car kept stalling & was really tough to start after refuelling. Jeremy checked it out and fixed the issues and did a tuneup. Ready same day. Awesome service, highly recommend. They are now my go to for all things related to my car.

Erik is awesome. He is very straight up with you letting you know exactly what the issues are and what needs to be done without pushing anything on you. Very professional doing good work but also very reasonable price not overcharging. I've been waiting to find a mechanic like this for a long time. Highly recommend!

Great place to get car repairs and maintenance done at fair price and compassionate staff

I accidentally drove through a small lake and got water in the air intake. I ruined the engine in an instant. I managed to drive for a week but the engine noise got crazy. I went to 2 garages and was denied twice. The third garage, Silver Auto, took my car.Eric and Jeremy ended up putting a new engine (and clutch) in the car. It wasn’t cheap but I am very happy with the end result. The car is now in better shape than when I bought it. Eric did help me with the price quite a bit because of my specific scenario.It’s a 2012 car with a 2017 motor now.169000 / 21000.Before committing to the job they did a thorough inspection of the car to make sure that it made sense to replace the engine.They added an undercoat and treated some rust on the roof to make sure that this investment lasts as long as possible.Now that they have resurrected my vehicle, and know the car inside and out, they will be my go-to garage for as long as I live in this neighbourhood.Thanks guys!

The first time I went to Silver, they checked out my car on the hoist to help diagnose a strange noise and they ended upinviting me to come take a look under the car so I could see everything for myself. By the end of the check, the didn’t even charge me labour because all was good and they didn’t have to do more than just tighten a few bolts. These guys are super honest, and very kind. As a young woman, a lot of mechanics would take advantage of my limited knowledge (as it has happened before), but Eric and Jeremy are definitely not in the business of taking advantage of anyone. I have brought my car to them a few times since and I have been very pleased. I can’t recommend them enough.

I have been going to Silver for several years now, and could not recommend them enough. Eric and Jeremy are always attentive and respectful, only charge for what they need to and have very reasonable prices. They always take the time to explain the issue and costs before they ask if you want to move forward with repairs, and also explain everything they did when you come back to the garage to pick up your car. I am always confident they did a good job. As a young woman, it is sometimes nerve wrecking to go to a garage because I don't know if I'll be patronized or sold services or repairs I don't need, and Eric and Jeremy have never made me feel that way. My car is 12 years old and needs lots of repairs and maintenance, and they are my go-to for everything. Good prices, excellent service, always fast. You won't regret going there.

Erik is the most trustworthy mechanic I've ever encountered. Twice I've taken my car in for a suspected issue and he's called me and let me know it either isn't an issue like I thought or fixed it for a fraction of the cost. He has been in business for 24 years because of the trust he builds with his customers. He's my mechanic of choice in Ottawa.
