Great Canadian Dollar Store

I bought a TY backpack for my daughter for Xmas and when she opened it we realized the zipper was broken. I had thrown out the receipt and the lady at the store was entirely unsympathetic and couldn't do anything for us. $18 down the drain and a very sad child to boot!

I just had a really terrible experience with an older female employee with short grey hair. She was extremely rude and unhelpful when I asked her for help finding a product. She wasn’t wearing a real mask either, just a small plastic shield that only covered her mouth.

I had an unpleasant encounter with the staff at the store. While one staff member was very aggressively explaining why she only had her mouth covered, the other staff member, who wasn't wearing a mask at all just a plastic shield, kept saying in a loud voice You don't have to explain!" That was followed up with "Maybe we should close for the day" and from the first staff member "Maybe we should close the store". Yes

The staff made me feel very uncomfortable. Asking me about private medical information, i informed them that it was private, and one of the ladies continued asking.

stopped at the store saturday a few minutes prior to closing I did not know what time the store closed I walked up tp the front of the store and stood outside looking in saw all the lights on and the sign saying open a young lady with red hair opened the door and asked me if i needed any help I asked her if the store was still open she replied yes we are still open for a few more minutes please come on in. I walked in and stood by the front of the counter and asked the same young lady with the read hair if they had any cigarette lighters she come around from the cash register and showed me where they were located she told me they had miniture ones but it was a very busy weekend and they must have all been sold. I bought a regular size one and paid for it very proffesional manners from the young lady and when i was walking out her fellow co worker who was working by the front door wished me a happy easter as i was walking out I was very impressed with the wonderfull service I received from both young ladies

The Great Canadian Dollar Store in the Brookswood area is nice. The prices range from $ 1.59 upwards. The staff are friendly and accommodating if you are looking for something within the store they just don't point they will show you were the items are in the aisles. They have a fantastic selection of balloons and they also will make up balloon bouquets of your choosing and to your price range. They have cold pop and a good selection of Candy too.

This is truly a superior dollar store. True, it isn’t the cheapest, but has an excellent and interesting selection, quality products and great service. So lucky to have this little gem in my neighbourhood.

Super friendly staff, for a small dollar store the shelves were super full and lots of items different than other dollar stores. Just all round great dollar store. Lots of hand sanitizers and masks on hand if you happen to be looking for them.

It was ok had a good selection but everything wasn't a dollar some stuff was 4$ some things were 7$ some things were even 22$ but there was some stuff that was actually 1.25 to 2.00 the staff was nice to

The women that work at Brookswood went so far and beyond to help me. They carry a range of coloured plastic table cloths, but not the gingham pattern I wanted so they called multiple locations until they found one that did and asked the manager to bring 20 of them to the Brookswood location for me. They took my name and number to call me when they came in--wow! Great selection of items, clean and well-organized. Staff always willing to help.
