Rideau Canoe Club

My 9 year old daughter attended Canoe Kids half-day camp this summer and LOVED it! It's packed with a variety of activities, super friendly staff, the communication from the camp is great (they even emailed us one day to advise that Hogs Back Bridge was closed so we. may wish to take an alternate route to get to camp that day!) - wonderful experience!! She can't wait to attend again!

Gold standard for canoe/kayak racing clubs. Great location, great coaches and staff, good community support, and outstanding athletes. One of my favorite visits!

A happening place in the Spring/Summer, with canoers and rowers synchronously working over the Rideau waters. And a walking distance away from amenities to use post workout.

Canoeing is fun, canoeing is what they offer. I always fall in love with it's location. Beautiful location either in winter or summer. The park, docking houses, hogs back falls, the lake, canoeing in summer is a pleasant and perfect place to spend your evening. Grew up paddling here. Life changing sport for me. Being on the water every summer makes you appreciate the outdoors way more. Canoe kayak is amazing because it is a team/ solo sport so you get the best of both worlds. Teaches you patience, discipline, practice, the art of how small changes in your body movement can make huge changes in your speed. The Rideau is one of the best rivers in the world to train flat water canoe kayak. World class coaches/athletes. Top summer camp for kids that can eventually lead into a competitive sport they can compete in for a lifetime. A club system so competitions provide a sense of team as points per club are tallied at the end of each regatta.
